***Official*** New Zealand in India 2016

Pujara fandom is not just about the man. Much like his namesake Che, It's about an idea. An idea of rebellion against the suits. An idea of freedom against the narrative of mainstream media-corporate axis. An idea of being so good you can ask the bosses to go **** themselves. Let Prince Pujara...

A horse called Ronchi scored an unexpected win here at Ellerslie this afternoon. I hope that bodes well for his namesake.

The greatest batsman who averaged in the 40s

"i read some opinions so they must be true" Dempster and Donnelly were better County batsmen, but they're gonna need a few more tests to say they were definitely better than Fleming as test batsmen. If you've played bugger all tests and get the wraps Cowie got, fine, but qualifications like...

The greatest batsman who averaged in the 40s

...if you don't know about his reputation as one of the top NZ bats ever, you need to do some reading. Honestly doubt many cricket historians would argue against those 3 being considered better than your namesake. If it's any consolation, Fleming would be the skipper for my all-time NZ 2nd XI..

ICC Best-Ever ODI Championship Rating Draft

My namesake, Jimmy Amarnath - 600

Starc, chameera, amir, rabada or Joseph

...that pace and those angles. And he's so smart (with ball in hand). I want to call Amir a better bowler because he's just so much more well rounded, but Starc produces more unplayable deliveries than any bowler I can recall, apart from his namesake Johnson. Can't really decide whom I rate more.

Starc, chameera, amir, rabada or Joseph

...I'd put my money on Starc, I keep getting the impression he'll suddenly crack the code in 5-day cricket and go on a ridiculous run like his namesake did for those 8 glorious Tests in 2013-14 (though hopefully his lasts a bit longer). He dominated the last World Cup individually like no one...

    "200 Tests or less" Draft

tricky decision, but I'll blow 79 on my namesake, Andrew Flintoff

    Debuts & Retirements draft

Insane depth in batting. Number 8 is one of the best batsmen of his era.

    Debuts & Retirements draft

...Like I mentioned earlier, this team will be spending a lot of time on the field. Declaration bowling will be common. Will have earned our namesake. The bowling still has some class - Cotter was known for his extreme pace, Barnes was a match winning seamer, Trumble was an offie who could...

***Official*** England in South Africa 2015/16

Might be what's required. Taking the example of his namesake and all.

***Official*** New Zealand Domestic Season 2015/16

His high school coach said he was better than Ryder and KW at the same age, which is obviously ott, but it does give a sense of how much he's stood out over the years.

***Official*** New Zealand Domestic Season 2015/16

So how much ability does Leopard have really? Know he's built like his namesake but that knock just seems to ooze of talent among the rubble.

    Debuts & Retirements draft

...Mondays 1. Bill Ponsford 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Mushtaq Ali 7. 8. Bill Barnes 9. Hugh Trumble 10. Claude Carter 11. Tibby Cotter Ooof, look at that bowling attack. Judging by the teams we'll be facing, we will be spending a lot of time in the field. Lovely. Will have rightly earned our namesake.

    Jonah Lomu, 1975-2015

Absolute wrecking ball on the field, the likes of which will never be seen again I don't think. Also the namesake of the best rugby game of all time. RIP big marn. Legend.

Welcome to Cricket Web - Cricket Chat

...much nothing about cricket, but my lovely boyfriend informed me that vicente from spain is the best cricketer ever, even better than my namesake in the AU womens cricket team (ok so I apparently know 1 thing about cricket: Someone named Ellyse plays cricket and is pree legit*) and therefore I...
