    **Official** NRL 2009 Thread

Cayless is travelling to Brisbane this week to check out our set up, you'd have to think he's still looking at his options if thats the case. I'm starting to get the feeling that with the Tigers they have had serious cracks at Lima and Cayless but only with the intention of getting one. Given...

Panthers imo, **** team, **** area. Reckon off field drama's or player revolt, something to get rid of Elliott before round 1.

Apparently Broncos now trying to sign Jason Cayless, you'd imagine we could offer him more than the Tigers given the players we have lost and the money the Tigs have already spent. Prop is definitely a position we need strengthen, so although he isn't the player he was he would be better than...

Slater did nothing, it was the same case of 2005 when Prince won. No one on the winning team had a standout game so it just goes to the biggest name in the side.

Also Hindmarsh was robbed of the Clive Churchill for mine, if a player from a losing team didn't win tonight then it's never going to happen again. Hindy was by far the best player on the field.

Saw that on the news last night too, very very interesting. It's not surprising though considering the players they have let go that they have money to spend.

I don't see Brawn being up there again next year, I think they'll finish fourth. McLaren and Ferrari in particular have already spent loads of time developing the 2010 car while Brawn and to a lesser extent Red Bull have been adding improvements to the current car to win this championship. I...

Wouldn't be surprised to see him end up like Dugan at the Raiders this year. Start in the 20's but just force his way into first grade, although Tim Sheens doesn't have the great track record of giving guys a go.

Gallant was pretty good at the end of the year, I rate him. I'm pretty sure Blake Lazarus was penciled in to play fullback before he did his knee in pre-season, I reckon he'll probably get another chance if hes fit. Mullaney does look pretty gun, not to mention it would actually give the Tigers...

Taumata will get himself sacked before the season starts. I dont really see him being in their starting side as it is, I anticipate 1 Lazarus 6 Benji 7 Moltzen. Should never have let Gallant go though.

    *Official* A-League Season 2009

Dunno about Canberra, theres more than 1500 paid members of the Club already ($200 each). Thats a pretty good start for a team that obviously doesn't exist.

    *Official* A-League Season 2009

Surely a lot of people in Western Sydney are already Sydney FC supporters and either wont change or if they do then they are effectively cost the existing side money and fans. Same goes with sponsors, a place like Canberra has a lot of people waiting to be involved and I'm sure its the same case...
