    **Official** Chappell-Hadlee Series

Frankling bowled his overs before the final push when Hayden (and everyone else) went berserk. Bracken bowled extremely well, but also bowled most of his overs when NZ were under pressure (in the first quarter of the innings and then when McMillan was struggling quite a bit). The pitch for the...

    **Official** Chappell-Hadlee Series

Haha I suppose. Although my argument is that it's bad for bowlers and it can't be good for cricket if such a major part of the game is marginalised. Many ODI bowlers play Tests as well, and imo if scores keep getting bigger and bigger, and pitches are as flat as we've seen, many bowlers could...

    **Official** Chappell-Hadlee Series

Haha geez you're defensive. I can't think why, since I already said I liked seeing New Zealand defeat Australia. I didn't say the pitches were too flat for absorbing cricket - I said in my opinion they weren't good for cricket as a whole because they give the bowlers no assistance....and yes...

    **Official** Chappell-Hadlee Series

I'm not criticising the administrators. Obviously they want to make money, and providing high-scoring, close matches will do that. Just saying as a cricket fan, I'd like to see more of the 1st ODI and less of the 2nd and 3rd. As I said above, it's entirely understandable that these are the...

    **Official** Chappell-Hadlee Series

I can. Sure, we saw plenty of fours and sixes, but I just didn't find much pleasure in watching the batsmen dominate to such an extent. I liked the close nature of the games and that New Zealand were able to lift to such an extent to beat Australia, but I think the pitches (bar the first ODI)...

    **Official** Chappell-Hadlee Series

Nup. Take a closer look at the list. It only lists batsmen who opened the innings and batted the full 50 (or in some cases, 40, 45 or 60).

Pretty sure others have done it. EDIT: Many others - http://www1.cricinfo.com/db/STATS/ODIS/BATTING/ODI_CARRYING_BAT.html

Pollock closes in on highest ever ODI bowling rating

I suppose that Pollock's performance on the flat pitches of Aus during the 2006 VB Series was just a fluke then....because it's so easy to take 11 wickets @ 20.27 with an ER of 3.19rpo.

Only 86* and 91 from Stedman and Chaulk this time. Poor form. Seriously, excellent again. Incredible series all around.

    Ban Aussies From County Cricket

My favourite English bowler ever...maybe even my favourite English cricketer.

That factor itself doesn't. Other factors that have been discussed before do though.

Shaun Pollock, Chaminda Vaas , Mkhaya Ntini , Bond ,Shaun Tait, Brett Lee & Asif ?

Was just reading this article on Cricinfo. Pollock's bowling figures in ODIs since the start of 2006 have been just incredible. Even more remarkable, his figures in the 2006/2007 season. An economy rate under 3 runs per over...unbelievable.

*Official* Twenty20 Is Boring Society Thread

...because often batsmen will lose/give away their wickets trying to increase the scoring rate in limited overs cricket. Rarely are there such pressures in FC/Test cricket. Add to that the fact that limited overs means you can only bat for x amount of overs, and you can only get x amount of runs...

    Ban Aussies From County Cricket

I didn't think West Indian players were actually banned from playing County Cricket. Anyway, stupid idea imo.
