That is a shocker of a call.
  2. Slow Love™

Group D - Pakistan, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland

Just over halfway now - I haven't seen much of Ireland at all, but I presume that given they recovered from 5/90 the other day to post 220, that their lower order isn't exactly a pack of cards...

Third wicket falls - Porterfield plays on to Hafeez.

Group B - Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, Bermuda

Well, this looks all over bar the shouting, doesn't it? Around now I think Greg Chappell must be staggering and stumbling with around 20 knives in his back, knee-deep in crap, with a clutch of hyenas ready to pounce when he falls in face first.

Oh, wow, I just flicked over - I figured you guys had access to an internet feed or something. Thanks, mate.

Haha, *crickets chirp* Probably use too much of my bandwidth anyway. :p
  7. Slow Love™

Group D - Pakistan, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Ireland

Looks like the luck of the Irish is being improved a bit by some dodgy umpiring calls...

41/2 is a fairly solid start, considering what they're chasing. BTW, how are Aussie posters watching this?
  9. Slow Love™

Group B - Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, Bermuda

Yep, India far from out of this. And Aftab now gone.
  10. Slow Love™

Group B - Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, Bermuda

Ooops, out. Though he wasn't going for a big one.

I can't decide whether that should have been caught or not. Dravid did seem to make it a bit harder than it perhaps should have been in his approach to the ball. Perhaps a cue for Iqbal to calm down a tad though. Very good aggressive 50, off 51 balls.

Good lord! Into the stands. Zaheer getting bitchslapped.

Have a look at these shots from Iqbal! **** 'em up, Bangers, do it!

    6 sixes for Gibbs.

At least it was a player you could imagine doing it against fair opposition on the right day. There've been plenty of bad minnow overs bowled in international cricket, and nobody had done it up to now, so it's still quite an achievement.

Minnows - Do we need them, do they improve with us?

I think Neil was cracking a funny re: Pakistan... ;)

Minnows - Do we need them, do they improve with us?

I don't think 200+ pastings do improve anybody as a cricketer. The point is though that that's certainly not the norm in this Cup so far, by a long way - quite a few of the performances have been very encouraging, and obviously today, Bangladesh have a real chance at chasing down India's...

Group B - Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, Bermuda

I fear that Bangladesh may get brought down by nerves in this chase, and Indian's tenth wicket partnership may have put the game beyond their reach. I hope the Bangladeshis can get there though. General perception seemed to be that this was a real danger game for India, and it's turned out...

    Sunil blasts the Australians

Probably one of the most depressing threads I've seen at CW.
  19. Slow Love™

Two down, Younis gone. Wild swing.
