*Official* Australia in England T20s and ODIs

Once again an Aussie is ripping through the England top.

    Rohit Sharma or Ravi Bopara?

Rohit Sharma has way more potential with bat and ball.

Michael Hussey – Is his time up?

Jaques was injured, not leap frogged. Although he probably would have been if he was actually available for selection given our selectors' aversions to picking the best players in the country.

    Neilsen's Take On It

As I said in the quoted post, problems have been there since the new selectors and new coach have come in. It's cost us 3-4 test series now and probably 3-4 more before the decade ends if we don't change the people. It's hardly a knee jerk reaction. You can pretend to go on like Watson is a long...

    Neilsen's Take On It

The first step to fixing a problem is acknowledging it. No point saying that everything's rosy and well when there are festering problems and which have been for about 18 months. Until Nielsen, and the selectors go, the only way the team can go is downward.

    ***Official***Australian Domestic Season Thread 2009/2010

Given the other guys we have available, no chance at all in the short to intermediate future.

Michael Hussey – Is his time up?

Personally I think Jaques has been jettisoned unless Katich goes missing pretty badly in the next lot of tests. It's might take him a while firstly to get back into prolific form (can't see the selectors picking him when he's not in that kind of form). Ultimately their succession plan involves...

    The fallout

This is what I've been saying all along.

Michael Hussey – Is his time up?

Ridiculous to call it a knee jerk reaction. No one in their wildest dreams would have dreamt that 2 years ago, Watson would be opening the batting now or even have the skill to do such a thing. Sure he has improved his batting a little but certainly not enough to be in one the top 4 test...

*Official* Australia in England T20s and ODIs

Voges is not in the OD squad, only White is. As much as bits and pieces Hopes is, he's a bit (pun intended) ahead of White in terms of worth to the team.

*Official* Australia in England T20s and ODIs

I have revised my opinion. The only time hopes can be in the team is when either Haddin is injured, or Warner is out of form/yet to develop his ODI game. In a case like this he should open the batting as he contributes nothing with the bat as a finisher. Voges not in this OD squad yet picked for...

    Rank the test sides

I reckon India and South Africa are too close to call, joint first for mine and Australia third although must see how we go against Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

Michael Hussey – Is his time up?

No way the selectors will drop Hussey now. Hoping for a Hayden-esque comeback tbh.

    Ponting

Would be a massive knee jerk if we took away the captaincy from him. He was definitely not the factor which lost us the Ashes.

    So what went wrong?

Totally AWTA. But what do you expect really? These guys are politicians, if they admit all their mistakes there would be riot and they'd be out of job.

    The incredible fall of Australia....

Pakistan is so damn underrated. Their spinners will run rings around us and they have solid middle order bats. Certainly better than those of england.

    The incredible fall of Australia....

The only thing that need to happen is that the selectors need to be put in concentration camps and be gassed to death. Following that Shane Warne, Trevor Hohns, Ian Chappell and other good selectors should be drafted into the panel. THAT IS ALL.
