*Official* Third Test at Old Trafford

Playing well so far. If these two can put on a stand of 300 or so, it will ensure Australia posts a first innings score just in excess of 305 :)

New cricket game in the works

Thanks very much :) Haven't done much this week unfortunately due to cancer scare in the family, hope to get back to it in a couple of days.

New cricket game in the works

Really starting to progress, hoping to have a very early beta version available by this time next week. Couple more screen shots.

Hi James. Just wanted to let you know that the game I'm writing is progressing at a fairly decent speed now that I've got some time between jobs. I'm hoping that I should have a very early stable beta version available in the next couple of days, what is the best way of getting the download to...

Anyone seen a tied test before? Icc 2013

Ah... I still think match figures of 11 for 145 trumps that :)

Anyone seen a tied test before? Icc 2013

There have been 2 tied tests in nearly 2100 official real life Test Matches, given the number of ICC 2013 players, you'd have to assume someone as has had one but you could be the first to post a screen shot (I'm too lazy to Google it) For the record and without seeing the full scorecard, how...

New cricket game in the works

Finally found some motivation in the last 24 hours to get some coding done. Been working on the main scoreboard, probably only 25% of the way through the code for showing everything that needs to be shown. Little bit more info is available at the blog : Test Match Cricket | An Amstrad CPC...

New cricket game in the works

Suppose an update is in order, done nothing, zilch, nada the last month. Going through some business stuff and need that sorted first, which should hopefully be finished this week. Not working this week, and am actually planning on doing some more coding later today.

    *Official* Second Test at Lord's

Commentary reports Trott as most runs in Tests without hitting a Six. How do they come up with these stats? Great stuff (I love stats like this) 3 for 28 - and to think I was stewin' that Clarke didn't win the toss :)

*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Once more wicket and I reckon they'll induce Kate Middleton so that England can declare a public holiday and call off the Test :)

*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Well unless their is something special about England that I don't know - slow scoring just leads to wickets eventually falling and the batting side being bugger all in front. As I type I wave goodbye to Cook :)

*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Third new ball due before England are 150 in front at this rate 8-) Cook playing his team into a hole with the slow scoring and putting his partner/s under pressure to score.

*Official* First Test at Trent Bridge

Bit harsh having a crack at the Aussie tail - England aren't bowling half badly. Besides, the Aussie tail has saved the side from complete humiliation so many times in the last 5 or so years, they're bound to have a collapse soon or later.

    *Official* Warm up Matches Discussion

Agreed, but I'd think the Aussies would prefer this to be all over in 3 days instead of 4 if at all possible. Then again, I could be completely wrong :) EDIT: There we go - declaration... Do I get free beer for calling this?

    *Official* Warm up Matches Discussion

Well they are nearing 400 now which would have to be declaration territory if they are going for the win, there is zero chance IMO of them scoring 500+ and hoping for an outright win by enforcing a follow on - now way in the world Clarke would risk giving his bowlers a long stint in the field...

So what is the plan here? I'd suggest batting, batting and more batting - give everyone a good hit. Give the bowlers a massive score to bowl at and to hell with winning the game!

The obviously don't start play early to make up for lost time in a warm up match  or is it raining again?

Sorry if this was answered elsewhere, how is Compton playing for Worcs? Is this a normal, I don't recall it happening in the past, but it's been a long time since I took any notice of warm up matches for the Ashes in England.

    *Official* Warm up Matches Discussion

Early indications are that Compton is back in (Boycott scoring) form - 0 from 12 and Sommerset in general is hoping everyone will fall asleep and forget a game of cricket is going on (13 off 5 overs including 4lb) Aussies shouldn't place too much pressure on Compton, we could really use someone...
