The double pain for Melbourne is that they wanted Shuey at 19 but just missed out and had to pick Strauss instead...

This round needed that game, takes the edge off all the absolute stinkers we've had so far.

Action-packed game at the 'G. Watts' goal was amazing. Horrific injury to Strauss though, I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't play again.

The problem is Richmond. Not only with their own list, but the guys they delist after being Richmondified, who go on to play at other clubs and infect the rest of the competition. Look what happened the year Port picked up Jay Schulz - somehow, they got EVEN WORSE. St Kilda went from grand...

I think the reason Walker bodes badly for White is that they're extremely similar players. Both strong overheard and very nimble but have never quite found the consistency they need. Both could be **** hot players. Maybe the move would be good for both.

Itstl. What does that mean for Jesse White?

Yeah you're right but if he wants to go it'll happen a la Brennan. They would've been better off losing Walker because he wouldn't command that much, whereas Davis would've gone for quite a lot in a trade. As it is, I wouldn't count on the compensation being much to write home about.

Jeez that's harsh on both of them, been excellent this year. Plus there's Mitch Brown in the WAFL, but you'd be right to question whether he'd ever make it. You'll be happy to hand Lake over I take it? Re: Davis, I wonder what this means for a Brisbane-type situation developing where they lose...

Just did that ladder predictor thingo. Have no idea what I did exactly because I haven't slept in two days but it turned out some interesting results. Kangas finishing 7th, 'Aints 8th, and Freo falling as far as 11th. But in saying that, only 4 points separates 7th and 11th so it looks like...

Usual third quarter fade out then. Always takes the gloss off the rest of the game regardless of the result.

Definitely Port imo, but a big call coming from Lyon. Maybe Bailey is finished
