Super 15 Discussion and Prediction Competition

Haven't seen it but I'll search for it during the week. And Masaga with his first touch seals the deal!

And Kane Thompson's try basically seals the game. Nicely done Chiefs.

Super 15 Discussion and Prediction Competition

Chiefs really dominant in the first half. Worried that the travel factor's caught up on the Sharks. The changes to the Sharks have been a real mixed bag - Lambie's been thoroughly outplayed by Robinson, but Jordaan has more than held his own against SBW.

Yeh needed a few more than 2 or 3 though. Perhaps doing it on cricsim would be the better option.

Super 15 Discussion and Prediction Competition

Chiefs my pick for the final. Sharks for the LMS. I have a few more videos of the semi-finals which I simulated today. Turns out that if I'd tipped as per those results I'd have scored more points than I actually managed. Chiefs vs Crusaders still uploading but the Stormers vs Sharks link is...

***Official*** The Olympics is **** Thread

Hilarious that after having the official threaten to disqualify them if they refused to play properly, they engaged in one normal service...before continuing to try and throw the match. Shameful stuff.

***Official*** The Olympics is **** Thread

Actually perhaps the 99 World Cup example is the closest I can think of to the badminton players. Rationale behind Australia's decision to slowly chase the WI total was to increase their chances of taking points against WI into the Super 6s, so rather similar in terms of manipulating round robin...

***Official*** The Olympics is **** Thread

Actually it was NZ who tried to manipulate the result to ensure South Africa scored a bonus point for a large win. I think this case is slightly different since the badminton players intended to lose from the outset whereas New Zealand initially tried to win and only gave up when victory was no...

Also strange from Dhoni that Raina, who I thought would've been one of the better part-time options, wasn't even used.

**Official** India in Sri Lanka 2012

Heh, 4/36 off 8 becomes 4/61 off 10 - guess thats the risk of continuing to bowl a part-timer at the death... Interesting now if Sri Lanka use a similar tactic with Dilshan and Jeevan Mendis to bowl a good chunk of the overs.

**Official** India in Sri Lanka 2012

Last 25 overs of the innings all bowled by slow bowlers even though India played only one specialist spinner.

Worth noting that Nuwan Pradeep has the chance to, statistically, become the worst bowler in the history of international cricket if he conceeds 15 or more runs without picking up a wicket: Bowling records | Combined Test, ODI and T20I records | Cricinfo Statsguru | ESPN Cricinfo

Amusing that India play an extra batsman ahead of a specialist bowler in Rahul Sharma....who then he goes and produces career best bowling figures.
