***Official*** Zimbabwe in New Zealand 2012

I recall some good ODI knocks which ended up boosting his average to a Rutherfordesque level.

To be fair, Vincent did come good in the 2nd half of his career and did alright.

Yea Taylor (c) v Taylor (c) is there too of course. Much more common name however, therefore less likely to cause the universe to unravel.

Finally, the moment we've all been waiting for: 60.1 Vitori to Vettori, no run, Vettori starts by punching back down the ground

I was hoping to see Vitori bowling to Vettori in this series.

That was what I meant by improving, as by the looks of it he has rarely been tossed the ball at first class level. He can't be too rubbish if he's been given a go in a test match, so hopefully he can turn out to be useful.

    Brownlie or Ryder?

I've always rated Ryder at the bowling crease, but it probably is a good idea for him to give it up, too injury prone. We don't appear to have any other part time seam options bar Brownlie. Maybe it is an area he can improve on?

How did Dean Brownlie's bowling look? I haven't been able to catch any of the action in this test, but notice he hasn't taken any FC wickets prior to this match.

Martin Crowe has Mid Life Crisis (and may well pull it off)

What standard of cricket was this? Also, was he actually able to run between the wickets without the aid of a zimmer frame?

One of the other commentators mentioned during the ODIs that he has the stump mic unusually loud when he's in the box. That seemed a bit strange so I decided to do some research about the guy. I thought it was a joke at first too, but when I found out it's true I decided it's rather extraordinary.

Mr du Plessis actually is blind. Amazing that he can commentate with such accuracy. Here is an interesting article about the matter: Zimbabwe's blind cricket commentator - Telegraph
