    Sub-Continent Batsmen in SENA countries

It's even more striking in the 1980s, when he averaged 29.53 at home and 67.82 away. Part of that was the series home and away to WI and Pakistan in 1983, when he scored 5 hundreds and 7 fifties in the away series, but only 4, 7, 0, 0, 1, 0, 0, 0 in the home series.

    Meaningless and stupid cricket statistics

The highest score that any batsman has made more than once in a Test is 203. This record is held jointly by Chanderpaul and Shoaib Mohammad, who each scored 203 twice. Neither made another Test double hundred, and all four innings were in fact 203*.

Can you give specific dates/matches, and make it a multiple of 5 Tests, please? (Unless people think the runs should be minimum length: i.e. the "10-Test peak" has to be an "at least 10-Test peak"... I don't object to that in principle, but it does affect it if someone else wants to pick a...

Knew I'd forgotten something.... 12 hours for Round 1, 8 hours for later rounds is pretty standard I think, so let's go for that.

Old Timers Reverse Order Draft - Voting

JOJOXI wins easily for me: 3 points. Charter 77 gets 2 points, trundler 1 point (very close battle for 3rd).

OK, so the rules are: 1) As well as picking a player in each round, specify a consecutive run of Tests in which they played. 2) The eleven picks should have runs of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 55 and 60 Tests (in any order). 3) You can pick a previously picked player as long as your run...

I think the easiest answer is for "small" uncompleted innings not to count.

I'm inclined to say yes, as long as (as you say) they don't overlap.

To clarify, the random innings part was to be *instead* of voting, not as part of it, my thoughts being: (a) matching the teams up in that way would be entertaining (b) rating teams made up of, say, "Botham (1978-1982)" (to repeat my favourite example) would be quite tricky. Point (a) has the...

    Old Timers Reverse Order Draft

I certainly learnt there weren't many quality batsmen in the first ever Test; that's why I ended up with a team stacked with bowlers... (should probably have picked more batsmen at the start of the draft).

Draft idea - may need work...

This is a bit more complicated than the usual draft... The basic idea here is that you'd be picking players at their (statistical) peak, so rather than just picking (say) "Ian Botham", you'd pick maybe "Ian Botham: 1978-1982". For the peaks, I thought maybe we could have one player for each of...
