    Well Jayasuriya was batting at number 7,8,9, position for most of his carrier as a pinch hitter untill 1996 when he was promoted to open by ranatunga. Thats when he was expected to perform as a batsman. :D So overall averages dont tell the whole story !

    Ok WI has lara, Chanders, Gayle ....but look at their record for the last 2 years, thay have lost most matchers by innings at home and abroad or at least beaten comprehensively. They have won a few matchers thanks to Bangladesh And Zimbabwe with exception of one home win against Pakistan.
