wow, lol yeh, the back of my left hand is facing cover point. my right hand is facing the stumps Some interesting stuff there, i'll give it a go! sounds promising! thanks!

    batting drills to do alone

we get personal coaches assigned to us during the cricket season... not exactly personal, but one coach per 4 players which is usually enough anyway. My drives, as well as every shot i play is bottom hand dominated, which is why i think i get less power during driving. I've seen alot of my...

    batting drills to do alone

i rarely get out driving, because i only play the drive if i'm confident it will be safe. i find most of my dismissals are by getting myself out. Frustration after a loong stay at the crease and not scoring enough runs. I've been told to bat outside my crease many times but i've never tried it...

    batting drills to do alone

our team trains once every 2 weeks during the off season (more than most teams actually) so i will get to face some proper bowling, just not as much as i'd like. A bowling machine would be excellent, however i can't afford to fork out that mucH :p Tried to get my mum to give me throw downs...

    batting drills to do alone

I had a terrible season with the bat, and i want to work on my batting over the off-season, but it's going to be hard to get bowlers to bowl at me etc. so I was wondering what i could do alone to work on my batting? The area i really need to work on is driving, but any drills would be greatly...

    nightwatchmen....answer me this

yup that it is, but you will find the first 5-8 overs is when the ball is swinging wildly and doin alot of stuff... after that it dies down slowly

    nightwatchmen....answer me this

another reason is probably that the number 3,4,5 are considered the best batsman in the team. The openers are most expendible than the middle order. in most cases

good batsman, probably deserves it more than dinesh mongia imo. dont think he is as good a fielder as yuvraj, but very good none the less

    nightwatchmen....answer me this

zin zan you haven't really answered the question properly. The question is asking why an night watchman and an opener go out to bat initially as opposed to 2 openers, followed by the nightwatchman. You are merely telling him WHY ppl use nightwatchman, and from his initial post, it's obvious he...

    Bad eggs

some of the excessive appealing decisions against pakistan and india are quiet frankly ridicilous. Even some of the disputing umpires decisions are shocking. If you watch Glen Mcgrath, every time he gets out, he stands there and makes a fuss and shakes his head etc. He gets off every time. If...

    **Official** India v Pakistan

Mcgrath is far from the worst fielder in the world. Has a great pair of hands and does pretty damn well for a tall fast bowler. anyway, fielding is very important, and if your fielding is not up to scratch, it really counts against you. It does not necesserialy mean you will be dropped. If you...

ah well, there comes the end of a once great career. India may actually win the series now, with the extra batsman they can now play

Have You Ever Played cricket In a Carpet pitch?

hmm, well is this artificial grass the same as astro turf? i have played on turf pitches and artificial pitches, and artifical gives much more consistent bounce. Turf gives true pace, but the bounce can be variable, but astro is perfectly normal all the time.... was the pitch damp or did it...

Have You Ever Played cricket In a Carpet pitch?

i thought it may have been synthetic, but then the above comments would not be true. Artificial , aka astro turf, gives the most consistent bounce i've ever played on

    Move over Gillchrist....

He's not the only one with no idea, learn to express yourself properly, or you remain mute. Don't just type all this jibberish which is totally out of context, and expect ppl to just ignore it when you are accusing ppl of doing things they didn't. Why don't you come up with a quote of when he...
