    Cricket questions

English willow is naturally very very soft. You need to compress it, to make it tougher. You also need to use some linseed oil to 'bind' the fibres together better, and give it a bit of 'flexibility' so that it doesn't crack. That's the simple answer, i cbf writing out a long and detailed one...

    Wasim or Waqar

2001? That was nothing. Try going back to 93ish, that's when you will see Waqar at his best Waqar at his best, was easily better than any other bowler in the world. He was just injured far too often, and fell away. I'd take Waqar at his best. Wasim if injuries/batting etc. counted

Should there be a mandatory sixth day in tests?

the scheduling is pathetic. but yes, a 6th day should be an option if the two umpires believe there is a possibility of a result. however, this would screw up tv broadcasts, grounds, schedules etc. etc. etc.

Can Cricketweb make a strong cricket team?

I've got brad hogg out in the nets twice in about 50 balls. I don't even bowl anymore, one good ball is all it takes to dismiss a batsman. Against a bangladeshi team, we'd get beaten fairly easily, but i'd say we'd make about 150 in both our innings, and they'd make about 600 in their only...

Can Cricketweb make a strong cricket team?

I was in the USA for a few months last year, and the standard of cricket there is terrible. It was all astro turf cricket, and played a bunch of blokes who said they were first graders or some crap like that. They were decent, but definately not even club level here in australia. And they werent...

    Overrated/Underrated

under rated - has been the cornerstone of new zealands batting for many years now Steve Waugh

    Best Batting Partner

Waugh of the Steve variety, or Shahid Afridi. Would love to see the ball getting launched around the park, and not having to run much. Regarding S. Waugh's run out drama's, i'm guessing alot would have had to do with the farming of strike which resulted in some tight calls.
