The use of Long Sleeved shirts to mask chucking

After watching Harbhajan again recently, i'm still surprised how he gets away with it! It seems to be becoming more and more popular too, surely something needs to be done?

Rahul Dravid - What would you do? Is he still one of India's 6 best batsman?

When an older player is out of form, too often the question arises... "is he past it?" However, if a player at 27 was producing the exact same results, they would just say 'Yeah, he's out of form" I feel this to be unfair on the older players. As the old saying goes, form is temporary, class...

Rob Key - stick to pie-eating

I've never heard him talk, haven't seen mcuh of his batting, and don't have any opinion at all on Rob Key, but I feel the above post is based on a previous hate for him, as I can't see much wrong at all with both the above responses. Pure bias in my opinion.

    Cameron White - why?

Hardly - Any reasonably attacking batsman can come in at 7 and swing the bat and get a SR of over 95. And just how many games has he actually turned on it's head with his 'power hitting' I can't remember one game where he has actually done anything remotely interesting with the bat. A guy like...

    Cameron White - why?

Ponting clearly has no faith in him as a bowler - often neglecting him completely, sometimes bowling him after part timers etc. So this leads me to believe he is in the team for his batting ability alone. In tests, he has bowled 93 overs in 8 innings, for a whopping 5 wickets at an average of...

    Sreesanth: where is he?

From memory, he was always in the 140's generally, and hit 150 on a few occasions

    Sreesanth: where is he?

His series in South Africa was absolutely amazing. Some of the best fast bowling i've seen in years. He doesn't seem to have the intelligence to be a good ODI bowler, though at times he has bowled well. But at a test level, he has the capability to be a very very good bowler. He moves the ball...

    Sreesanth: where is he?

after the harbhajan slapping incident, it seems he's been on the outer? I know that he wasn't really a constant in the ODI side, but he was a fairly consistent test performer, who played more often than not. If i'm not mistaken, he hasn't played a game since then? Have internal politics again...

What criteria would you use in rating the best?

I think scoring under pressure (not a statistic) is one of the biggest things I look for. Technique is another Average of course adds something to it, but is not the be all end all.

What criteria would you use in rating the best?

In a test match, i'd take this bowler any day of the week. Maybe not so in a one dayer, but yeh.

What is the best innings you have ever seen

Steve Waugh in Old Trafford..97 i think, he made two centuries in the test, where everyone else struggled badly. His 200 against the windies, but i think one of the best innings is a 63 he made against the West Indies, on a crazy pitch with a very very angry bowling attack. It's not a very...

    The problems with pakistan's cricket?

not at all.. they have a good core group of players Salman Butt Mohammed Yousuf Misbah Ul Haq Mohammad Asif Shahid Afridi Kamran Akmal Umar Gul Shoaib Malik Younis Khan are all international quality players... may not be the best in the world, but they are all very very good players in their...

Is Luke Ronchi potentially the next Adam Gilchrist?

Brad Hogg had a crap List-A and first class bowling average still went alright at ODI's and played a handfull of test matches to boot.. stats aren't everything, and he has significantly improved both his keeping and batting over the past two seasons. I'd have him in the One day and twenty...

    The problems with pakistan's cricket?

Afridi is hardly the probelm... he has been managed very poorly since the death of Bob Woolmer. His bowling alone is good enough to be picked in the ODI team. He has been thrown around the batting order, into all sorts of different situations and this is the last thing a batsman like him...

    Your most embarrassing cricketing moment?

Went to India for two months to visit family. Played LOTS fo tennis ball cricket. Landed back in Perth and had a game the very next day, no nets no nothing... Walked out at my usual number 5, and kept trying to drive everything. Batted for 4 or 5 overs, where anything on the stumps i'd somehow...

    Shahid Afridi - The bowler

Their strike rates are comparible too, as well as economy. He doesn't bowl as many overs as Kaneria, Vetorri etc. but his stats suggest if he did, he would be just as good. I know it's not as clear cut as that though
