Chances of a 12 team tournament in 2019?

^^ Which avatar did you had before you switched to BD avatar? Definitely hoping there are more than 10 spots in the next tournament.

    34th Match - India v Ireland (10th March)

Think India will have advantage in any kinds of pitch over Ireland as they seem better than latter in all aspects in the starting XI.
  3. S

    33rd Match - England v Bangladesh (9th March)

Get Tredwell the last game. Should have already played in some of the matches.
  4. S

    31st Match - New Zealand v Afghanistan (8th March 2015)

Say if Anderson doesn't get the last wicket, it would have interesting to see Afghan last pair knock around Anderson and NZ part timers.

    32nd Match - Australia v Sri Lanka (8th March 2015)

They should play with 3 proper pacers, Malinga, Lakmal & D Chameera, in the coming match vs Scotland. Feels they were too light on good pacers throughout the tournament so far but they should test out D Chameera & give another chance to Lakmal before the knockouts.

    30th Match - Ireland v ZImbabwe (7th March 2015)

Stronger weak teams in Group B.

    30th Match - Ireland v ZImbabwe (7th March 2015)

A Zimbabwe victory will allow them to remain in contention which is good in my books.

Chances of a 12 team tournament in 2019?

So, no ICC tournament in 2018 after at least one every year since 2009?

    Dwayne Smith

If they score that much, then blame should lay with NZ.

    Dwayne Smith

Still not many ahead of him among Top 8, barely 1. WI - His opening partner, Gayle, better than him India - Both Dhawan & R Sharma better than him Australia - Both Warner & Finch better than him NZ - Both Nuptial & McCullum better than him SA - Both De Kock & Amla better than him SL - Both...

    India WC Thread

Give Rohit the opening spot the entire group stage, if not working, move him down the middle.

    Likely quarter final match ups

Speaking of that, how many games so far has been sold out?
  13. S

    29th Match - Pakistan v South Africa (7th March 2015)

    Probably a DL affected game.
  14. S

    28th Match - India v West Indies (6th March 2015)

Whose gonna make way for M Shami?
  15. S

    27th Match - Bangladesh v Scotland

Though it's not something that they can brag about as they are two teams Bangladesh should be beating anyway. That they could even be considered by some to potentially choke against those two teams is not very flattering for Bangladesh.
  16. S

    27th Match - Bangladesh v Scotland

It is how they did the chase rather than how much they conceded that determines the level of comfort for their win. They were very much in control throughout their chase and comfortably won.

    27th Match - Bangladesh v Scotland

It's a quite comfortable win despite being a batsman down.

Chances of a 12 team tournament in 2019?

In terms of mass appeal, for a nation like Afghanistan or Nepal (potentially), playing in World Cup generates multiple-fold interest compared to mere opportunities in non-WC's. Rather have large tournaments with lots of teams than have a closed shop that might have only so called "best vs best"...
  19. S

    28th Match - India v West Indies (6th March 2015)

India is very comfortable favorites going into this match.
  20. S

    27th Match - Bangladesh v Scotland

They were and are still the 7th best team in Group A. So chances are they were very likely winless.
