    Geraint Jones... a forgotten hero?

True.. I did like Paul Nikson behind the stumps in the Twenty20 world cup though, he was very vocal :)

Does anyone think Flintoff will regain his position at no.6 ? I did but I'm now doubting that idea due to his batting performance today...?

    Geraint Jones... a forgotten hero?

As you can probably tell by the thread I would ideally like to see GJ back behind the stumps.. but as thats fairly unlikely ATM my second choice would be Ambrose so I'm glad he is in the current frame... :D

You say that but if Collingwood had made 1 or 2 today everyone would be slating him and saying how he needs to be dropped... I mysellf still remain in the view that Collingwood is nt good enough to hold down a regular test spot..

I know that Saj isn't the most poular test cricketer amongst english fans, far from it infact.. but when you here the liks of Otis Gibson talk about bowlers waiting in the wings he will always mention "...Tremlett, Mahmood.." so he must be in the selectors minds, he's in the 30 man ICC...

I wouldn't say so.. the only two would be Jones (who's injury prone.. but fine at the moment) and Harmison whos had his fair share of test cricket to get it right...

I admit that's not amazing but it's good... and if the selectors ever did pick him it would be for using him as a strike bowler rather than your line and length economy man..

..And he doesn't leek major runs like he used to

As much as I can rant and rave about how amazing Sajid Mahmood is in my own world, I have some serious reasoning to it.. he is a much improved bowler since 2006, his line and length is still not Glen McGrath standard but is much better than it ever was.. he's taking a lot of wickets for Lancs in...

Only on TV in a few Pro40 games and one Twenty20 looked quick, but he is quite 'chunky' i spose he's always been a strong bloke..
