**Official** Pakistan and England in the UAE 2015/16

I rescind my previous opinion of James Taylor. He is a classy, classy player. Extremely secure at the crease.

Let's get this sorted. List all the Mitchells

The three Mitchells (first name) to have played Test cricket for Australia all played in the same Test match, the 3rd Ashes Test at Edgbaston.

    Cricket All-Stars 2015 - Sachin's Blasters vs Warne's Warriors

That's neither here nor there. Obviously in the USA, prices will be higher. Are the players involved being paid a particularly large amount, that requires such sharp fees? Or perhaps renting the pitch? It just strikes me as a bit off if they're doing this as nostalgia trip, why not play it...

    Cricket All-Stars 2015 - Sachin's Blasters vs Warne's Warriors

Really? I thought the whole deal was to try and bring cricket to America, expand the game etc. Otherwise why not just host it in India?

    Cricket All-Stars 2015 - Sachin's Blasters vs Warne's Warriors

Uh-huh. I suppose that's to be expected. Would be great to see some bona fide Yanks in, though.

    Cricket All-Stars 2015 - Sachin's Blasters vs Warne's Warriors

I can't watch the game, so what're the crowds looking like? Are the stands full? And are the supporters predominantly ex-pat South Asians?

Rankin poised for Ireland return | Cricket | ESPN Cricinfo - good news this, Ireland are a bit short on good pace bowlers.

The Rugby World Cup 2015 Final

I liked how they kept showing Kylie Minogue in the stands, but I was disappointed that there was not a Kiwi equivalent - would have been nice to see Crowed House there. Decent game, predictable result, watched it in a pub full of Kiwis who were very noisy but had spurious knowledge of the rules.

**Official** Pakistan and England in the UAE 2015/16

Reminiscent of Swann's dismissal of Rogers in 2013 Lord's Test... Also just noticed that Bairstow is wearing a mouthguard whilst standing up to the spinners, which is neat.

**Official** Pakistan and England in the UAE 2015/16

See that England (or an 'England XI') are playing Hong Kong in a One Day warm-up before the ODIs. I like that, really good to see an associate side get a decent run-out, albeit a warm-up, against a Full Member. Should happen more often.

    Semi Finals

NZ looking shaky in the first half - Kaino in the bin and too many penalties conceeded. SA leading 12-7.

Bairstow needs a boat 'cos he's all at sea.

Cricket stuff that doesn't deserve its own thread

Clean fell for it. Spent several minutes furiously scouring the internet for any reference to the guy. Was about to ask here whether there was any more info on him.

Pick the Other Guys' Team Draft - Voting Thread

S***, totally forgot about this. If anyone cares, Red Hill's XI runs away with it, with NUFAN in second. Cheers everyone.

It's done mate, I've opened up voting. Just at the bottom of the first page.

Pool A - Australia, England, Wales, Fiji, Uruguay

Ford should have been on from the start, looked so much better than Farrell. Gutted though. I'm now Welsh.

Hooper and Pocock are just so good. Unreal.

Pool A - Australia, England, Wales, Fiji, Uruguay

Dunno - we've been pretty equal in most areas of the game, except for the breakdown, which is clearly key, and we've been sliced open definitively twice. Hands in the back have been poor, along with our general handling. Pretty dire and we deserve to be behind. They're letting the fans down.

Might as well spend my next 40 minutes doing something more emotionally gratifying, like cutting out my eyeballs or burning down my house.
