Top 30 batsmen of the modern era (1990s -Current) - Updated

The rankings are the result of several months of work. A bit disappointed that I posted the first countdown at a premature stage. But **** it, both was fun. Hope to see you guys soon with the ODI batsmen or test bowlers rankings. Thank you.

Most people rate Dravid and Sanga above him. I really can't understand that. If his scoring rate is the issue why rate Dravid above him?

That is crazy if you think of it. Easily, the most valuable player of the last 30 years.

Some people might question Kallis's spot at no.4 and for all the criticism he gets over scoring slow, Kallis had a stretch of 12000 at an average of 61.33 from 1999-12 with an overseas average of 57.37. This alone, at least according to this methodology, makes him the no.1 batsman of 2000s.

Let it be erroneous. That still doesn't change anything. Based on your behaviour in the last countdown thread and this thread I don't think you have any respect or interest for what I am doing here. There is something about RPI that really seems to get to you. So do us both a favour. Stay off...

No, because I have learnt better manners for disagreeing with someone. And I am also not so narrow minded to not know that what might appear absurd to one may be meaningful to another.

Interesting observation. But the funny thing is last time some people were already complaining about factoring in RPI as they felt it would be unfair for the middle order batsmen. And the only way you can move the openers up is by further increasing the weightage of RPI.

Azhar's performance since 90s wasn't enough to make it to this list. But if we considered his run in the 80s he would roughly earn about 117 pts which should put him close to no. 25. I am also open to discuss whatever you feel as flaws in the system :)
