    *Official* Pro-Wrestling Thread II

More like "where can WWE go?" The current deal on USA Network and Syfy is barely a year old and it is a very ordinary deal. No evidence the next contract will be better. WWE thought it was going to get a massive contract in 2014 only to find out that no one wanted them and that wrestling...

I think I enjoyed that. Annoyed that the cut from the tombstone was too slow and that it showed how far Lesnar's head was from the ground but a minor quibble.

    Yeah, decent card so far.

    Need Help? Send Us Clips

I quite like your action but I have my suspicions about your problems though I cannot tell 100% given the angle. The good thing is it just one issue, the tough thing is fixing it. Quite simply you are closing your lower body off with your foot placement which means you have to come all around...

Cricket stuff that doesn't deserve its own thread

Ha! I didnt. Just said I had accidentally given him a business card with a hand written contact on the back. When I met with him he smiled and said he knew why I wanted it back and that he was torn between meeting me to give it back or call Lara and try and meet with him :)

Cricket stuff that doesn't deserve its own thread

Win, win! Worked out who I gave the card to. Found a way to contact them. Met up with them for a cracking Saturday night out and got the card with the details back. Hooray!

Cricket stuff that doesn't deserve its own thread

****! A couple of days ago I was chatting to Brian Lara and he gave me his cell number and email address to keep in touch. He wrote it on the back of one of my business cards. Last night, in the pub, I casually gave a card to someone without thinking and it was the ****ing card with Lara's...

Playing Selector: The team of the 1990's

If we are just looking at averages then why even have a thread?

Seb Coe - Head of IAAF

Ah, the elegance of a sweeping statement about sweeping something under the carpet.

Playing Selector: The team of the 1990's

Possibly just to **** with the purists (not the exact word I mean but cant think of a better one at the moment to express my thoughts), none of M. Waugh, PAdS, Wasim or a specialist keeper make my team. Stewart has the most runs in the decade at an average of over 40 so he is in (blah, blah...

Atherton vs Stewart? Old school 90s english cricketers! Who was better?

Stewart by a considerable difference. Atherton has all his well known strengths and he did have a bad back but his technical issues (compulsive hookers, squared up in bck foot defense, open face when front foot defense etc) were considerable.

Was Jimmy Adam's test career unfairly stopped early?

Yeah, he was a shot player after that. After the injury his average was half what it was before and his career average was in terminal decline.

Cricketweb poster with the best understanding of the game

Cannot argue with that conclusion. It is the secret of happiness, at least for me. One of the tent poles of my life - wherever in the world, with many people or few, never miss Friday night beers.

CPL gets no love here ?

Cracking game to be at today. Again the rain threatened to spoil the fun but 5 sixes in the last over for T&T put them in a decent position which they defended with Bravo and Kallis bowling a fantastic final two overs. Had my kids at the game again and they again had a fantastic time and got to...

CPL gets no love here ?

Well I just had my net with Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel at 12 noon today and I cannot thank the team and management enough. The Administrators knew I was coming and everything was organised but no one had told the team or coaches. Coach, Simon Helmot, and manager, Colin Borde, were incredibly...

CPL gets no love here ?

I agree 100% about the kids but if you are in a pumping stadium then the energy is infectious and maybe it is also for people like me who dont take it seriously but want to have a cracking evening out. I would say I am only interested in Test cricket but I also had a lot of fun.

CPL gets no love here ?

Well I have just watched my first ever game of Nine/9 (rain delayed Red Steel vs Zouks) and it was the most exhilarating game of cricket I have watched live. Sport doesnt always have to be art with depth and meaning. Sometimes it can just be pure entertainment. A wall of sound from a passionate...

CPL gets no love here ?

To be honest, despite living in the region and it being on TV, I have not given the CPL much attention myself. However, now it has moved to Trinidad I have tickets for three games and I am scheduled to join a net session with Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel. Will let people know how it goes.
