Next tour in Australia might be like 2018-19 though. This Indian batting should be stronger with Jaiswal/Gill/Pant at their peaks. Bumrah will be at the last days of his. Australia will have a youngish team.

Thing is this Indian team is more like 2014/15 (young team post-transition) compared to 2011/12 (old team pre-transition).

I expect all pitches except Sydney to be super seam friendly though.

Yeah he hit a 100 in the recent SA series as well. Think if he has a 35 averaging series with 3 50's this series, it would be very good. If both Kohli and Rohit have that output it would hold India in good stead in this series. Cause this series will be won on the back of 250ish totals.

Will Bumrah get a 10 wicket match haul in his career

lol NZ doesn't count. Not serious cricket. It's like losing to your baby cousins.

Naah NKR plays. Screws the balance otherwise. Even Harshit should play cause he can bat a bit. Siraj/Prasidh/Akash can be rotated.

2016 - Pant, Sarfaraz, Sundar 2018 - Gill, Arshdeep 2020 - Jaiswal, Bishnoi 2022 also won and 24 were finalists. By 2030 all of the batches will have united and be at their peak

I'd say a bit of both. Batting as well as an economical defensive 5th bowler.

Batting cover is also a factor I guess. India would go with Ashwin, Jadeja, Axar and Kuldeep only came in when Axar lost efficacy in his bowling in 2023-24.

doesn't have the accuracy of a fingerspinner plus also batting cover.

Don't sleep on Akash. Plus Ashwin rarely has consecutive bad games. Even in Eng series, came back strong.

Rain predicted throughout the day so might be a washout. Plus rain predicted tomorrow afternoon.

India's 1st innings was more due to seam and bounce off the pitch rather than overcast conditions. It was overcast for large periods of India's innings yesterday. Plus it's a 50 over ball now.

Ignore the first innings and take this as a normal home match. Opponent scores 400. India scores 600+. Win by an innings. It'll still be a day 3 pitch tomorrow.
