! Classic posting from Burgey in the last few pages. Agreed. KP vs the Indian spinners could be a great watch tommorow. Ohja looks so much better the slower that he bowls.

So which Michael Clarke innings rates higher with CW? Clarke's recent 259* at the Gabba or Clarke's 151 against South Africa at Cape Town.

Kelvin is related to James Smith right? Let's hope for SA's sake that the guy is more consistent than his older brother..

Interesting. I always thought it had something to do with the fact that Ponting generally plays with hard hands.. Indeed. Nicely flighted by Lyon there, hasn't disgraced himself today.

Agreed. Ponting has never had a trademark cut shot anyway. When the ball is short and outside off, Ponting tends to play back foot cover drives rather than cuts.

Not sure how you select Chad Sayers over him.. There's not much to choose from tbh. Borgas, James Smith and Theo Doropoulos are the only names that spring to mind. I thought Smith would have kicked on to become a solid batsmen by now but he's gone backwards.

What's the deal with Peter George T_C? Still injured?

    Starc vs Pattinson vs Cummins

No purpose to his bowling? He's trying to get the ****ing batsmen out just like every other bowler. I'd say Starc is one of the more feisty fast bowlers going around at the moment as well.

**Official** Group B Discussion - Australia, West Indies, Ireland

Starc is seriously progressing as a bowler at the moment. One more season and he'll be the completely finished product. Expecting big things from him itbt.

Martin has publicly admitted that he suffers from an eye problem that affects his vision. This explains why he is so hopeless at judging the line of a delivery. Way too harsh on Martin IMO, his bowling has proven to be a lot more useful than Tim Southee's.

This performance by NZ is similar to their recent ones against the West Indies. The bowlers manage to do relatively fine while the batsmen just completely **** up.

Patel ends up with some very respectable bowling figures. I was particularly impressed with his control that innings, with a bit of extra luck he could have even managed a 5-fer. Let's hope for NZ's sake that he doesn't revert back to his usual tripe.

Indeed. The Melbourne Spring has taken a beating already with the likes of Black Caviar, Haylist, AJ, She's a Fox and Lucas Cranach being ruled out. Sadly, a lot of well known Australian horses seem to be dropping like flies of late, Typhoon Tracy died giving berth last week which is a real...

When exactly did Strauss's decline in form begin? I know it's been going on for a while now, but did it start when he retired from ODI cricket? IIRC, Strauss was doing pretty well in ODI's before he retired. This makes me think that Strauss is one of those players that constantly has to be...

Steyn's bowling average against right handed batsmen is much better than his record against the lefties. I like these two opening the bowling, good call by Smith.
