Some people going on about Ames doing minnow bashing.Well this isn’t true.Wi had good enough fast bowlers.Their bowling wasn’t anything close to being minnow.He averaged around 50 in 18 innings.Got only 2 innings against India which had some good fast bowlers.Scored a 50+. It’s G.A headley for me.Batted in a side where nobody was up to that standard.Despite the 1930s having some real good/great batsman he was arguably the 2nd best. Ya.Hobbs had a bad start and bad ending.But in between that he was just so consistent.But 1910-14 has to be his peak cause he did in tougher conditions.And was better by some distance than other players.I guess great players always find a way regardless of their age/situations.Hobbs showed why...- Nikhil99.99
