A test ton is such a key moment in a players career, jammy or not, I always think it's worth acknowledging.

I reckon he was going to be dropped if he didn't make that 50 in the 4th test in England and that might have been it. I think he was about to be penciled in as too good for state cricket but not quite up to test standard.

If we can accept that for run out the play evolves too quickly for the human eye get it 100% right in close cases, even if the field umpire thinks it's out they defer to the replay, why not apply the same reasoning to a close no ball call? Sure the umpire can go based on feel when the heel is mm...

We are better off with the umpires just not making close no ball calls based on the ICC response. Batsmen don't have enough time to respond regardless whether the arm is raised thus we can just let the deliveries go and have the 3rd umpire overturn mistakes if the wicket is taken.

Pretty poor call as it was clearly behind the line. I guess the umpire only got a look as his heel lifts and it caused the error. Also it's unlikely a bowling captain will review as players aren't going to be looking at the line during a delivery so it would only be guess work without a replay...

Restricting India in the last 15 is what allowed us to beat them even with their top 3 on fire giving them a massive platform. Impressive work again today, more than just down to poor batting.

No Kiwis in the Big Bash?

We could do with NZ teams to helps us rise from #8 in the world. 2 teams would be great. Would give NZ a home derby.

    Michael Clarke Announces Comeback

I wonder if his body will hold up? It think if he only plays in the BBL he will definitely be fine but a return for NSW in the Shield may not be possible. Not being skipper should allow him to focus more on his own body/recovery etc. I guess.

But he also emphasised what has been argued in the thread: He had the role as test captain. Unique opportunity and only relevant for one player in each generation so he made it a priority.

This attack would hardly be the best one in the BBL, bar Tye.
