If you've made your ground, you've made your ground. It shouldn't matter if your bat or feet end up in the air after the fact, unless the reason for that is that you've turned and are attempting another run. Yeah, I'm grateful that Nicholls was somehow able to stick around in a couple of tight situations here and in Wellington. He's obviously determined and trying hard but he never looked confident or set. A good batsman shouldn't suddenly look shaky once he reaches 80. I can understand a few nerves...- Dick Rockett

Oh, rubbish. A player has to demonstrate a weakness against previous opposition before the current opposition can notice and exploit it. Huh, I hadn't read that article until just now. Seems like a sound theory, but not to the extent that they should be bowling as much short pitched stuff as they have been. Totally agree that they should be focussed mainly on pitching it up and swinging it, and bowling simple line and length...- Dick Rockett
