    **Official** 2nd Test @Adelaide, 6th-10th December

Starting to lean towards Akash Deep over Harshit Rana. I think India needs someone who keeps the pressure on with consistent bowling on a pitch that is really expected to help the seamers. Curator was asked if the match would reach day 4 and he said he can't say and that it depends on if teams...

    **Official** England in New Zealand 28 Nov-18 Dec 2024 - 3 Tests

Check the long list of underhand advantages gained by this and you will realise why it is closer to ball tampering than we realise. There is a reason ICC is punishing teams with points (and fines) so that those teams find it much much harder to make the final. If it was no big deal, ICC wouldn't...

    **Official** England in New Zealand 28 Nov-18 Dec 2024 - 3 Tests

It's like ball tampering to make the condition of the ball more favourable. Here you are tampering the resource (time and overs) to pull the result in your favor.

    **Official** England in New Zealand 28 Nov-18 Dec 2024 - 3 Tests

Why don't you get it? Teams are deliberately cheating (in a way) with the use of this tactic. The end result doesn't matter! If you are bowling only 83 overs in a day so that you can only concede certain number of runs that day and come back fresh the next day, you are deliberately & unfairly...

    **Official** England in New Zealand 28 Nov-18 Dec 2024 - 3 Tests

Because it is used as a tactic to slow the game down. To do damage control when opposition is on top. To break the batters' concentration. To allow certain bowlers to recover and come into the attack sooner again. To delay declarations so that you have fewer overs to face. To delay the game so...

Akashdeep apparently bowled really well today. He was causing all sorts of problems to the batters.

Let's then hope that it's a lively pitch or that our pacers can extract sufficient assistance to not have to rely on the overs by Nitish. Fingers crossed.

    **Official** 2nd Test @Adelaide, 6th-10th December

Using your eg, if we play Nitish instead of Akash, the target goes up to 280+ instead of 230. So having Nitish the batter we likely have to chase bigger targets. I agree it's a two way street. But this time, unless the conditions are super lively for bowling, I think India is making a critical...

India will not travel to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy

Pakistan just played a whole world cup in India. They have set a precedent themselves. They won't be able to have all their matches outside India in future. Any match vs ind or final will be in India without question. Next CT may even get scrapped depending on how this one goes

Harshit can be handy at 8 (Has a FC ton) Akash at 9 Bumrah Siraj It's not as bad as when India had Shami Umesh Bumrah Siraj / Ishant Certain far better than Prasidh Mukesh Bumrah Siraj vs SA earlier this year. This is one match where India ought to be aggressive.

    **Official** 2nd Test @Adelaide, 6th-10th December

It's pretty clear that if Aus manage to negate the opening duo, they can possibly make hay against somewhat wayward Harshit, trundler Nitish and Sundar. Just to get an additional 30-40 potential runs from Nitish in batting, India are risking 'conceding totals' that are significantly more...

    **Official** 2nd Test @Adelaide, 6th-10th December

1st innings- Seven of the first eight wickets to fall were picked up by Bumrah and Siraj (five & two) 2nd innings- All six of the first six wickets to fall were taken by Bumrah and Siraj (three each).

India will not travel to Pakistan to play the Champions Trophy

Thats what the holdup is. Pakistan want hybrid model for future tournaments hosted by India which ICC and India are fine with, but they want any ind v pak game to be outside India too, which is where the disagreement lies I think.

500+ Runs in a Test Series on 2+ Occasions

Just to make my point, let's look at Allan Border who had four 500+ series This is how long his list of 6 Test and 5 Test series is! As for when his 500 run aggregates came- 2 x 12 innings series 1 x 11 innings series 1 x 10 innings series
  15. centurymaker

500+ Runs in a Test Series on 2+ Occasions

Take a look at the series with the highest aggregates- . In most of these he played 4 innings to 6 innings. Add one more innings to these series and he gets 500 in most of these because he was in his prime.

500+ Runs in a Test Series on 2+ Occasions

Again you are posting more and more unfiltered meaningless stats. Here is Tendulkar's complete list of series with the most innings- That one 9 innings series came in 1991/92 Four of the five 8 innings series came in his last 5 years: 2008, 2008, 2011, 2011/12. One of the just two 7 innings...

He lost his marbles years back and is a very biased old man. I don't particularly like or listen to his commentary. Nice to have the mute option.

500+ Runs in a Test Series on 2+ Occasions

Back in the day, in a 3 match series, a middle order batter would only get about 4 innings or sometiems 5 innings in the series. And about 6 or so innings in a 4 test series. Whereas now, you usually get almost all your innings as game moves so quickly. So need to look at number of innings...

As if India is definitely winning it. I don't think so given the tactics. 2-2.

https://www.smh.com.au/sport/cricket/late-arrival-marsh-likely-to-play-as-specialist-batter-20241202-p5kv1q.html If Marsh is playing as a batter only, then Webster probably comes in for Labuschagne? But then who would bat at 3?
