    I've done some research. Turns out my buddy was being biased in favour of his hometown. Apparently Pune tones down the spiciness. Misal Pav seems to have originated in Kolhapur and they have the spiciest versions of it. So I'd say it's either Kolhapur or Mumbai.

    Pune does misal pav best, from what I've heard. Haven't tried it there so I can't confirm it.

    Trust me on this, TJB, when I say this is precisely the view we hold of you. Every one of your posts strengthens that view the more I come across them. The inference was the correct one in the light of the fact that the quoting was done. The fallacious quoting was the erroneous part there.

    That's irrelevant to the post. India capitulated against them more often than not in those times. We didn't have Pakistan's bowling attack.
