Wonderful Retort. Love these threads where we can banter with the oppostion fans. Keep up the good posts. LOL. (You may be right by the way).

Yeah well I think it is high bar to bowl an over where the player pays and misses three times when the batsman are all being disciplined and leaving most stuff outside off stump. Nonetheless enjoyed your perspective Stephen. We do have Adam Milne who is very fast btw someone has probably...

Well I am really scraping the barrell with the next post but I am bored so here goes... Where to from here on Day 2 for New Zealand. What targets should they set? We have zero chance of bundling SA out for less than 400 - but if we really pull up our sleeves and restrict them to 450 that will...

Another post I will make a) to get my post count up  b) in the bizarre hope some blackcap will happen upon this site and actually read this. Tim is always more a of a threat to get the right hander out, and Boult does better against lefties (strangely Wagner and Bracewell are equally...

This is a comment I stewed on while out for a walk right now. Those were tricky batting conditions yesterday. 300-350 is a par score for that pitch. And despite our "good" bowling SA is 280-3. I had the distinct impression that South Africa were well prepared from a batting perspective for...

I think he will have turned the corner when he is putting the ball in the right areas. Whether he gets results or not is outside of his control as a bowler. Sometimes you can bowl well without luck as happened to most of our bowlers yesterday.

I hear you. At the same time form is temporary class is permanent will be the words ringing the minds of the selectors. We have a small player base so we can afford to be patient with former star players who have gone off the boil (hopefully) temporarily. Certainly this new bowling coach...

Drying up would have involved him leaving even more deliveries. If we had made him play we would have slipped on to his middle stump and he would have punished us. He batted like a collasus spelling? We heard so much about him when he was young and last night he looked like the hype was worth...

This is a throwaway comment just designed to give you jokers something to read so take it or leave it. Had we have batted first - I think anything could have happened. There was a bit in this pitch. In one scenario maybe we get rolled for 150. So yeah I think the best decision all round was to...

Kind of agree, kind of disagree. Yes we were trying to bowl wicket taking deliveries each ball, but I think that was the right tactic since there was something in it for the bowlers. Drying up the runs would have entailed bowling a shorter length and usually that means less wickets.

I Agree with all of this. For me the team is perfect except I want to use my influence as a renowned poster on CW to influence Mike Hesson, who reads this forum daily, to push relentlessly for Popli to be rushed into the team and for our number 5 who's name I haven't bothered to learn to be...

I only watched briefly. While I watched I saw deKock look brilliant. He will do great things for SA over the years. His leaving skills outside the off stump were incredible. Anyway - I thought we bowled a treat while I observed. a) Luck didn't go our way - I saw us beat the bat a number of...

As I have explained a number of times, I didn't watch cricket between 1992 and 2005. When I started watching again the commentary had improved leaps and bounds. When I grew up Peter Williams was a commentator and he was pants. These days you have to be an ex player and they seem to screen them...

    Cricket Australia's new junior rules

Top 13 and 14 year olds are mature and quality cricketers and don't need a smaller pitch. I think they have made a mistake there. Absolutely agree with the under 10s having a small pitch. The batsman at that age never get to face any deliveries because everything is a wide or bounces twice.
