    NZ domestic season 2023/24

Flem’s soon to be new favourite player Taylor Bettelheim just racked up century number one for CD A. This kid has been a beast for the Bay of Plenty and Waikato Valley the last couple of years. Should’ve been given a shot of ND last summer but wasn’t and now here he is, about to join the likes...

    NZ domestic season 2023/24

Yeah definitely not “fast” by any means haha. 130-135, pretty springy though. Stuck behind half a dozen quicks here though might have to move to get a shot

Yeah tbf the other options aren’t great, I realise that. But we are seriously wasting Phillips down at 6. He should be playing at 5, Chapman at 6 and our keeper at 7 (if Conway isn’t up to taking the gloves). Cleaver, Seifert and Fletcher are all good strikers of the ball. A 20 ball 40 from any...

He really wasn’t. It’s 2023 and we’re playing a World Cup in India, it was always going to be a run fest. What other top class teams out there are picking a number 5 who at best will score at around 100 if he gets going and has next to no ability to clear the fence? New Zealand in Latham have...

Tim Southee since the conclusion of the 2015 World Cup, yep 2015. 85 wickets @ 38 going at 5.8’s, taking just over one wicket per match 😂 The guy literally breaks his thumb before the World Cup and Stead decides to carry him for the first few weeks as if he has prime Shane Bond on his hands...

While we’re on Latham happened to notice he’s now played 17 World Cup games and averages a whopping 23 striking at 80 (I honestly thought the strike rate would be low 70’s at best). Throw in his average keeping and he’s a waste of space playing at 5 where scores of 300 plus are a must

Yep Bettelheim is another one. Leading run scorer in Fergus Hickey cricket and wasn’t close to getting a run for ND even after putting on runs for ND A too. He’ll play for CD before the summer ends no doubt. Kid can play.

Can we fire Stead at least. **** had Rachin batting at 8 for a year

Our captain sucks too. Don’t need a number 5 who will come in and nudge it around from 35 overs it. Drop him

Big L for our 5,6 and 7 here. Need to be a lot better against teams like India

Latham has plenty of misses too. I think that’s what annoys me most about him is people just shrug off his poor keeping. I mean how many drops does he have in this tournament already, 3?

I’ve never liked Latham as a one day player. Can we please move on from him after this tournament

Willing to be this chap won’t be firing Indian batsman as quick as he’s tired to do with the New Zealanders
