2 more wickets to make match interesting.
Damn a lot of bigotry in this postI was going to save this rant for after India win so the Indian fans could get the full effect and joy of calling me salty (entirely justified) but I'll give it to you early: Indian players are really missing out here, and the fans. The ICC is ****ing weak. As soon as BCCI pushed to not play in Pakistan it should've just been a hard no, and if India decided to not play, all their games should've been forfeit. Whats the ****ing point of giving hosting rights to a nation if other countries boards can just refuse to turn up and then play all their games at one venue with conditions more like their home country than the one they'd be touring. It's an absolute farce. And the victory for India here will be a lot more hollow because they haven't been tested as much as they should. The India vs Pakistan game broke all sorts of viewership records, but ultimately, how good would it have been for Pakistan to host that match?
So yeah, **** the ICC for being a bunch of spineless cowards. NZ and England didn't get to play those '03 WC games they had concerns about at a neutral venue with familiar conditions, they forfeited. Pakistan has been doing the work and most countries have toured there in recent times, and if you don't want to send your players, you shouldn't get special treatment imo. Absolute rubbish end to the tournament, where the host country doesn't host the final.
nah Rohit is still there they goodIf this is out, it makes it interesting.
Should have brought him in earlier. Glimmer of hope for NZ now, but over after over of SLA without any attacking fielders was strange. They seem to be determined to avoid bowling the offies here just because two RHBs are at the crease. Bracewell's come in and bowled through early in previous games, odd time to suddenly hold him back.
I am with you that they should not have had India play the competition once their government refused them permission to travel but that is the reality of the cricket economy. It was the ICC who voted that they would India to play because they negotiated the big TV contracts with the guarantee that India would play and games would be held in India viewership friendly timings. Sometimes you gotta suck things up when you want the bucks that is generated, I guess.I was going to save this rant for after India win so the Indian fans could get the full effect and joy of calling me salty (entirely justified) but I'll give it to you early: Indian players are really missing out here, and the fans. Oh for sure, I get it - and that's what makes it worse. We'll just create a class system based on revenue, great idea. Bro cost you the chance of winning Champions Trophy auction draft!**** u kohli!! Why was the DRS even taken!!!??
Correct. And further, there's no big tournament without an India-Pak match (on a Sunday, unless there's a very good reason not to).I am with you that they should not have had India play the competition once their government refused them permission to travel but that is the reality of the cricket economy. I will be honest, after 1st innings, I had a faint hope for a century and I actually would had won. But alas!Bro cost you the chance of winning Champions Trophy auction draft!
Yeah but BCCI did not ask ICC to negotiate TV rights with those clauses though. Again, I get the BCCI arm twisting accusations but in this case, I think its far more than that and I honestly think BCCI acted decently enough, as they did have Jay Shah when he was president of BCCI go down and meet PCB chariman quite a few times, and now for the Asia Cup, they have apparently moved the entire tournament (hosted by BCCI) to the UAE. I really dont think this was some kind of WWE script set up for India to win, mainly because if ever there was a time to do it, it was on ****ing 40th birthday.Oh for sure, I get it - and that's what makes it worse.
