Look at some all time batting and bowling lists and browse thru the last names. Lara does put you at a disadvantage if you dont have 10 other good players. Allen/Alan was an interesting choice ha. I know Smith would give you Graeme, Steve and Ian but not sure about too many bowlers. Barnes would give you Sid the Aussie opener and Syd the bowler..

I'm going Jim Parks. But Gerry Alexander, Imtiaz Ahmed and John Waite are left if you need your keeper to bat well. If not, then Jackie Hendriks, John T. Murray, and of course Bert Oldfield were brilliant behind the stumps while being reasonably competent with the bat. Good luck!

Harry had a tumour bleed into his brain stem causing medium term left side paralysis. I've been in hospital for a week helping him to the toilet get dressed, do physio etc etc. Should be able to walk properly by Christmas. Not so sure about his left hand though.

Trevor Goddard has the best ER of any bowler in history btw. Not sure who to pick for R4? Have a shortish list, but waiting for inspiration for when the time comes. Like the fact thst we're can't select all the usual players. Should make for some interesting and creative teams. Oh yes, and Nourse's Test SR is in the 60s if I recall correctly. Not bad.
