  • though.. i think youre trying to convince yourself that broad is better then powell more then youre trying to convince me... bcoz deep down inside you know im right..
Katich is averaging 45 now... He can get his average up above 48 and Pietersen's will drop to 47.

There is allot being made of players form, but not enough from posting form, which puts you under the microscope. Some of your recent comments and defences about arguements makes me believe that if you were representing England right now then you'd be on the verge of being dropped. Your defence over the worst bowler in world cricket, Stuart Broad, would be very bemusing to all of your fans and supporters.
Allot of England's runs came from misintended shots on the 1st day, you can't dispute that.

I can't believe you are still defending Broad though, TBH. His easily the worst regular bowler in International cricket at the moment and rivals Ashley Giles. Hence the Darren Powell comparison. I'm not comparing them in ODI cricket, just Test Cricket.

Also, by the end of this Ashes series, all of Australia's top 6 batsman will have higher Test averages then England's highest (Kevin Pietersen).
Broad's rubbish... playing in one of the elite teams in world cricket and averages over 40 with the ball, so his a liability and if you are a liability in a strong team that means you are worse then a poor bowler in a weak team.
You've got nothing to prove that Broad is better then Powell, because his not. Both are similar.
I'm not saying that Powell is head and shoulders above Broad, but there isn't much that seperates them. Powell has actually shown potential to rip through sides and if he played in a stronger side then Powell would've averaged lower because the pressure on the opposition wouldn't of been let off so easily. Powell also bounced out Pietersen out and had Australia 5-17 last year.
The likes of Chris Gayle, Ramnaresh Sarwan & Brendan Nash aren't in the same class as any Australian batsman in Test Cricket. Nash couldn't even make the Queensland side, ffs, and you are trying to justify Broad's International success against him?

Hughes averages over 60, Katich 45, Ponting 56, Hussey 54, Clarke 48 and North 52.. if you honestly think that success against the West Indies means anything when coming up against opposition like Australia, India, South Africa, Sri Lanka and so on, then you have lost your mind.
What a laughable way to downplay a logical arguement. I'm not just discounting his stats against just any opposition, I'm discounting the stats against 2 of the weakest opposition in the world, who plenty of cricketers over the past few years have had over the past few years. It's not coicidence that Broad is doing poorly against Australia and that all of his success came against weaker sides like New Zealand & West Indies, especially when Broad struggled so much against better opposition at the start of his career.
Broad averages over 56 (before this match) against all opposition, with West Indies & New Zealand excluded and that's in bowler friendly English conditions.
Powell is better then Broad. Judging by the pitches in the West Indies and how they are a weaker team then England, Broad would be averaging allot more then 40 or 47 if he played Test cricket for the West Indies. Atleast Powell has taken a Test wicket against Australia.
His beaten the bat acouple of times, which probably would've got any West Indian batsman out but overall he bowls allot of crappy delieveries. When Broad took his 5fer he got carted first up, but got a few wickets due to lack of batting ability from the West Indies.

All of batsman are worldclass and they haven't let Broad settle. I don't see things being any different throughout the series and I told you that this would happen to Broad. I'd take Darren Powell ahead of Stuart Broad in Tests as a bowler.
His bowled no differently to what he did against the West Indies. His just bowled to better batsman who have made him look as poor as he really is and the reason why he hasn't been able to bounce back is because his been demoralized. It's no coincidence that his done poorly against every side barring New Zealand & West Indies.
Shame I got banned on PC otherwise I'd be bumping those posts you wrote some several months ago right about now.
Lol anderson's ****... he got munched by phillip hughes yesterday

broad back on and immediately puts the pressure off australia with a 4 ball
Some of your locals around the ground are criticising and questioning Phillip Hughes' ability because he got out to Flintoff? Hughes looked far more comfortable then any of England's batsman did yesterday.
Broad's bowled no differently to what he has in the West Indies... his just bowled to better batsman who don't make his bowling look world class and you know it.

Can't understand why a hack like Broad is choosen over a world class bowler like Matthew Hoggard.
