I'm guessing with such a strategy you need to be prepared to lose a fair amount of the time?
Obviously there will be times where you get value on what you think is going to happen but in the example you gave me obviously Pakistan are the underdogs, so while they may lose all you need is one outsider to get up and you make your money back.

I'd love to be able to do something similar to what you've got planned. Just book return flights and do what ever takes your fancy in between. Travelling around, I tried convincing some friends to come on a Euro trip with me, take a back pack and railcard and do as we please. They weren't keen though
