  • I want Kallis but I know you wouldn't do it.:p

    Make your 10,000th post ****!
He is possibly the second best player in the squad. Don't get mad if I say no bro. Whats your offer?:p
They're the only 2 members of your team that I'm remotely interested in acquiring. Up to you whether you want to entertain it.

Picking Warne was part of a careful strategy.
Hmm, I'll see who I can snag next round. Have a few ideas in mind. I don't think I can spare Davies, and right now Mathews is my allrounder.
Sarwan did not play a test in 2010 but averages 60 in 2009 and 47 in 2008.
Plus has a very good non international FC record the last 4 years too in west indies where perhaps the least number of batsman average this much.
Mukund averages 60 in the last 4 years though and overall.
And i think you picked Katich slightly early.

    Badrinath > Morkel
    Katich > Mukund

    Seems fair to me.
I won't trade Badri for Morkel direct right now ,so no point debating that.

And Pathan missed a full last year ,so that would count against him.
I said on average over the last 4 years.
Actually there were many players in the south african supersport series that averaged over 50 last season.

And it is not only about one season but consistency over a number of seasons.
And India has more number of players with such averages because there are simply more teams and more players.

Besides, I had the option of picking Morkel when i picked Badri.
Albie has just scored about 300 runs only the last few years even though he averages between 45 to 50 plus has not taken more than 15 wickets either.
The number of innings is not that much too.

Vijay has scored around 700 runs on average in the last 4 years at averages of 64,56,47,53 respectively, while opening.
His overall average is down because of test matches, imo and still is 51.

Badrinath since last year is being included is on a different plane altogether in terms of domestic batsman .
You have a point about my team lacking a 5th bowler(though i am eyeing a couple of all rounders) but can't just trade Badrinath for Morkel.
