    You are right, it's not big deal. Never thought it was tbh. I was coming back on it again and again because other posters were pretending as though there is absolutely no legitimate reason to put in a check. I think there are legitimate reasons both ways, and I don't care so much what is chosen at the end. I just was arguing against the smugness with which the alternative is being written off, instead of saying something like "that's probably right, but let's keep it simple". But yeah, done with it now :)
