  • Mate its been fantastic. Thoroughly enjoying it and hoping for a 4-0 (obviously). Haven't been posting as much lately though. Internet is slow in my new place and I'd rather be relaxing and watching it on the couch than arguing with some no hoper.

    yourself?
Yeah, the fact that I hated it just shows how good he is at doing what he does tbh. Got a lot of balls and a lot of imagination. Is a breath of fresh air after all this Johnny Ace bull****.
K, let me know what you think of the main talking point. My opinions on it have been up and down on it all day.
Yeah mate just flat out on the farm, not much time for internet browsing haha. Hope you and the kids had an awesome Christmas and a safe New Years. Have a good 2012, catch me on FB sometime.
“Getting dragged kicking and screaming out of the ring, begging for mercy from whoever it is that fires me and never be seen again. Thats how I want to go out. Yeah, I don’t want any heroes goodbye or a big send off, I don’t want a retirement ceremony; that’s not how I’m built. I just want to disappear into the sunset and have people say “Man that guy was a jerk wasn’t he? Wow, I’m glad he’s gone.”

That's how I envisage your retirement as well itbt.
    Mush better tune too, tbf.

Saw Chris Helme (singer avec Seahorses) supporting Shed Seven the other week, actually. Only an acoustic gig but he did Love is the Law & Blinded by The Sun, which is what you'd want. No new crap.

You a Sheddoes fan, btw? Reckon they'd be your bag if not.
The Second Coming's main problem is that there wasn't (so far) a third album. It's a bit of a mess stylistically, but when you hear what Squire did with The Seahorses and Brown's first coupla solo albums, you can see there were many different directions they were being pulled in.
    1) The Stone Roses, but it's a closely run thing. I think the breadth of ambition is just that bit broader. Definitely Maybe is definitely (ha!) written by someone whose heard a lot of the Roses. Live Forever is Oasis's I Wanna Be Adored, but they don't have anyhting like the slyly republician Elizabeth My Dear and the small town celebration of Rock n Roll Star doesn't quite match the granduer of I Am The Resurrection.

    2) It's actually slightly underrated. It's patchier than the debut and the sound of a band in transition, but still by no means a duff record. Love Spreads one of my fav three Roses' songs.
Surprised he got a lot of hate online. Would have thought the IWC would have loved him tbh. Like you say, he really knows his stuff, and is sound in ring as well. Got lent a DVD of a match of his in XPW from a a few years back against Low-Ki/Kaval/whatever and he can really go. Shame he wasn't given a go with a decent gimmick in the E tbh.
Yeah, does he not do any commentary at all anymore?

Booker T is gash though, I agree. Sounds like a rambling nutter. Hate the way he refers to everyone as "boy" as well.

"Oh yeah, that boy just got punked out by that chair shot". Doesn't sound natural or spontaneous at all. Should use him as an announcer or backstage interviewer or some other personality role, defo got the charisma for it.
