  • Mate, I deleted you're post at Sir Alex in the "What Stage" thread. It was just baiting, and there have been enough warnings to stop it. If you can't think of anything nice to say to Sir Alex, don't say anything.
I know mate, but I don't think it's good for you, him, sledger or anyone on the forum, I hope you don't mind me getting rid of that from my page for obvious reasons.
Hahaha, wtf. I might have a read of that myself, sounds amusing. Obviously putting HHH over test was a seriously bad idea...hmmm...
When you start saying that "all your posts are always [whatever]", that's playing the man not the ball. I added an extra comment address to Shiv when I realised he'd made that initial post in two separate places, but tbf, I hadn't seen him make a post on Broad before, since this thing blew up, so when he made a comment on it, I think maybe you overreacted a bit based on him being the 15th person to have a dig on the same topic. Yeah, that's annoying, but don't make yourself into the bad guy by going over the top yourself. Drop us an email if you reckon we're missing something that's going on on an consistent basis.
He'd give you a different answer. I'd say it's because he finds opinions he disagrees with personally offensive. Particularly those involving India. And I think Dravid's crap at ODIs, Tendulkar's test batting is design over function to some extent and Indian pitches are by far the direst in the world (especially now Pakistan's a no-go zone). Although oddly the one that really got him was when I thought Sobers was better than Kallis by a smaller margin than he did.

I do usually read his posts anyway. Just not when I've just said something slightly controversial. I think he quite often misinterprets the point I'm making for something obviously and stupidly inaccurate, and hence gets angry about that.
Haha, I have him on ignore so I can only guess at what he's been ranting about that led you to that conclusion...
Mate, i got the article in my email.

I don't have net for the moment... i'll be home in another few hours. I can post it up then i hope.
I don't suppose there is any place that I could practice these things without fear of actually disrupting the front page is there?
Yes and ideally the review to another review that Dave Wilson did and which I mention in passing - its about Cricket and Baseball and how they do/don't relate to each other so its a bit different
Next week's book review has a feature to go with it so they need to be linked to each other - always assuming Head of Features doesn't mind of course!
ah right so its just typing stuff in? Could I do it by looking at some old ones James has done and copying - or is that too simplistic?
Hey, just read about your daughter, wishing you and her all the best, must be horrid to not be there.
