  • No, we take the step exam right after second year. We get like 3 weeks off and then your clinicals start so you have to take it within that month, which is going to be annoying. Theoretically, the second year of med school should prepare you, but I think it's going to be a very annoying three weeks. Med school is med school - you know how it is. Oh, and the grant isn't a big deal - it's just a stipend for a summer project. Not exactly an NIH R01 grant...

When is your plan to take Step I? And how are you studying it? BTW, the second years say that if you have more than a couple months, something like gunner training (aside from FA) is great for hammering in the basics (and then Goljan, and Costanzo for other stuff, plus a qbank).
Hey, long time - how's the studying going? Don't wait too long, otherwise we'll be studying for it at the same time :p.
hmmm...I'll think about it then......I am away for the weekend I will definitely give it a thought....thanks dude
hey dude.....I think I won't be going back to cricsim unless very very occasionally.
His beliefs seem illogical and not right to you and you're won't to him. That's the way of the world. :)

As i said, he is just tweeting famous positive quotes or some he can think of it himself. Some might make sense to some/some might not. It's not like he is telling anyone to follow him to the tee by telling them fancy fallacies or preaching about himself.

Anyways, this is a pretty subjective thing on it's own as their are beliefs and then more beliefs plus all kinds of rationales, so don't really like arguing about that.
There can be couple of reconciliations of that, but that is besides the point. I think you are reading too much into it. He is just tweeting out famous positive quotes (maybe some of his own) and some relgious quotes. The first quote for example is from Les Brown and then used by Warren Buffet in relation to companies/investments etc....

You may not agree with his sentiment/beliefs etc.. but don't see what is their to dislike even if it makes no collective logical sense, looked at it that way.
    Oh! I see.

Anyways, that strip is one way too look at it, though that is a lot more extreme. I am not a deeply religious person myself, but the way i look at it is that he is just expressing his beliefs and positive thoughts through the perspective of those beliefs. Like some other cricketer coming on twitter and saying there is no god etc.. and expressing that.

Besides, i strongly believe that religious beliefs unless it affects someone else is something which is best left each to their own. And is certainly not something based on which i dislike/like a person on. (Obv unless it leads to something inhumane.) Many people in my family and extended family have different type of beliefs, that may seem illogical looking at it that way, but still will be rationalised and argued over.
You are right, it's not big deal. I was coming back on it again and again because other posters were pretending as though there is absolutely no legitimate reason to put in a check. I think there are legitimate reasons both ways, and I don't care so much what is chosen at the end. I just was arguing against the smugness with which the alternative is being written off, instead of saying something like "that's probably right, but let's keep it simple". But yeah, done with it now :)
