  • I would probably also have followed American sports if I was in the US (probably baseball).

Yeah I am a keen follower of British politics, more so than Pakistani - difficult to follow Urdu news channels such as GEO, because my Urdu isn't brilliant (my Multani/Saraiki is better) and also because these channels are very biased. However that doesn't mean I am nit interested or that I don't care.

I hope you haven't mistaken my views due to my views on Afghanistan. I am someone who never supported that war and I don't think it is a contradiction in me being a British Pakistani.
Seems like you had a nice Eid (apart from the American Football - does anybody outside the US even watch that). Yeah I did spend it with my family (in case you haven't guessed I am not married and live with parents, what about you).

I moved to the UK when I was 8 years old and have a dual nationality. I live in Wolverhampton which a small city near Birmingham in the West Midlands. My family is originally from Multan where I was born, but we lived in Pindi until moving to the UK in 1995.

When did you move to the US (how old were you) or were you born in the US?
Thanks for the Eid message. Did you do anything interesting for Eid? For me it was pretty crap (had Eid party for which I had to set up the hall and then clean up afterwards whilst all the other families left without helping :(.

I hope you don't mind me asking where do you live in the US and where you are from originally in Pakistan.
Thanks for the info Fusion. It's quite impressive that your dad does the Qurbani himself. The reason for my inquiry isn't because I am visiting the US. I was merely curious because here in the UK we have certification problems and so just wanted to know what the neighbours think 'across the pond'. There are 2 main certification bodies, the HMC and HFA. HMC are very strict and have agents who do audits on the restaurants, butchers , distribution centres etc. They also don't allow mechanical slaughter or electrocution. HFA on the other hand allow mechanical slaughter, electrocution and they also play tapes. The problem is that most restaurants or fast food places like Halal KFC, Nandos, etc use HFA because it's convenient for them and also cheaper. And therefore it's difficult for me to go to these places.

Anyway talking about Qurbani, Eid Mubabrak and I hope you enjoy it.
    Hey Fusion,

I wanted to ask you about Halal food in the US. How reliable are places/restaurants that claim to be Halal in the US. And do you consider mechanical slaughter and stunning before slaughter Halal. Also what bodies are present in the US that promote or certify Halal food.

    Thanks,

Ahmad (would like to know your actual name :))
No worries mate. I'm going to stop replying to him now. Apart from anything else, I have two big assignments to do this week haha.
Haha, cheers mate. I'd just come in from sitting outside in the sun drinking beer with my mate. Was tipsy and ready to rumble.
I don't want to be a **** about it, but you've banned the username for six months on its own merits, surely I'm not offending too many sensibilities when I suggest it was a(nother) Precam multi.

&, name your bet by the way, I take whatever odd you're offering I'm right too.
    1. What was the baiting in the third post quoted, ie, on women seeking ***ual favors? I've seen personally a girl gaining promotions using her stuff at office.

    2. The Ban announcements thread specifies I was banned for "accumulation of infraction points". Which is rubbish. As I did not receive any infractions after coming from ban, save for the banning infraction, which is just 5 points. So correct me if wrong, with each infraction, I will be banned?

    3. Oh and the first two posts aren't baiting ffs. It's called good natured banter. If you are going to ban me for such posts, then pretty much everyone who calls BCCI ****, will also have to be, in which case, probably CW will cease to exist.

    Request you an answer
I prefer receiving physical, hand written mail so I will provide you with a mailing address.

Shouldn't you ****s already have my email? darren.a.murphy@gmail.com
