  • I was pretty tense though, expecting Roose to turn up with his army and destroy Stannis like in Ramsey's letter to John. I hope that doesn't happen. I am hoping for Stannis winning the iron throne with John as Lord Commander (prophecy), Rickon as Lord of the North and Danny as dead (hate the bitch).
    Loved it. Theon seemed a little more like his previous self. But I guess that's because he has been removed from Ramsey Bolton (I really hate him and I hope Jayne gets to kill him for what he did to her father). Stannis was great as usual with his harsh interpretation of justice and his dislike for Ned (really was jealous of him and Robert's relationship). Liked the little details like Stannis wanting the Golden company (we know where they are) Wyman, and more Frey's dying (Yes!!!!).
    My dream as a cricket fan is to have the privilege of seeing Pakistan unearth the greatest fast bowler that there has ever been. A bowler who can banana swing the new and old ball very late with deadly control at 95 miles an hour. Has an out-swinger like Steyn/Anderson and an in-swinger like Waqar. Bowls seam bowling like Asif and McGrath and is just as clever as them in setting up batsmen. Has a bouncer like Joel Garner and is brilliant with the slower ball variations (slower ball yorker, bouncer, etc). And last of all, he mixes up his deliveries (such as an in-swinger that then seams out). Now that would be amazing.
    Hey, since you have seen Imran live (unfortunately I was only 5 in 92), I wanted to ask you if he was a complete bowler? Could he swing the new and old ball both ways as well as bowl cutters, bouncers and slow balls? Same question regarding Waqar (only saw his later career). I know Wasim was a complete bowler.

    And why is it that modern bowlers aren't complete bowlers any more? The last proper complete bowler was Asif, and since then there hasn't been another (Anderson and Steyn and Broad come close).
    Hey man, what's up? How do you feel about the ODI and T20 simulation they predicted for Pakistan and England. I'm sure if they had actually gone ahead and played the series, the actual results would have been 4-0 and 3-0 to us.
    Agreed. Misbah batted pretty well. The negative thing about his captaincy was the defensive field setting. And Afridi is also a pretty defensive captain. We need to be more attacking. When it's PP, why not get fielders in close. When the opposition need 30 off 60 balls, why not attack instead of covering the boundaries. Imran would have attacked.
    The news of Afridi being captain was from ARY. Now I know that they aren't the most credible of sources, but they are generally good when it comes to Pak cricket news.
    I honestly think LO needs to take time off. All the drama in his life this past post-season really messed him up.
    Batting will always be a concern because of the pitches we produce, and we can never change that unless we play on bowling paradises. We would also need a good domestic structure with excellent batting coaches who teach proper techniques.

    The real concern is fast bowling. We have produced world class bowlers like Wasim, Waqar, Shoaib, Asif, Zahid and Amir. What's happened to this fast bowling assembly line of ours. Gul is a bowler who me and you would have laughed at back in 98. We would have said that he belongs to a team like Bangladesh, India or even England back then. We need to blood in new bowlers from the domestic circuit. Surely there are at the very least one or two quicks who can decently swing the new ball at a quick pace. And Waqar et al were thrown in and started performing from the get go. So why is there a need for Gul to remain. Take a chance on a youngster like Talha, Sadaf, etc.
    Really angry because of the loss at the moment. Where are we going to find new fast bowlers.:(

    Do you think Gul should be kicked out?
    We win the next and the 4th is a tie - I did predict 3-0 at the start of the thread after all :ph34r;
    Did you see the thread about Afridi being made UN ambassador. Let's hope he doesn't have even grander ideas like thinking of becoming prime minister.

    Who would you vote for, Imran or Afridi, if it comes to that. :p
    If yes, does the US take this event seriously or are they more concerned about their own internal league (do the best US players represent at the international level).

    And what is the US domestic league. I don't understand the difference between minor league and major league. Please explain.
