New jobs alright I suppose, heading up a team of compliance officers doing TC Checks, currently FTNAE , probably do High Risk Renewals next. Going to processing from Contact seems very backwards, stuff that would get sorted in 10 min takes weeks here (it took me 2 weeks to get NTC)

I'm the youngest in the office by 7 years, and everyones got at least 5 years more service than me, already feeling that some see me as an upstart!

One good thing is my job doesn't need any Taxes Professional Qualifications, unlike many other band O jobs. With those, if you fail the TPQs, you revert to your old job/grade (AKA conditional promotion). However that wont happen to me - mines a substantive promotion, so even if I move sideways into a caseworker role and fail the TPQ's, I get to keep my O grade.

Thinking of applying for the BDDP if it comes available again, and the Fast Stream. Can't see me staying here for the 2 years I require before I can move sideways, It'll drive me insane!

How's the new job going?

They moved us from Tax Credits to the On line Service Help desk (OSH) for the peak period. So we get to speak to agents and people who have to do SA's on line. The training they gave us for it was **** though.

Congrats on the promotion. After hearing about all your hard work and with HR being annoying you completely deserve it.

Don't be too overbearing on your team.

It will change coming April to fixed term, since I haven't got through probation yet. I am yet to find out how I did in the test and whether or not I passed.

What's the job like for it?

It's the 400 jobs, which I applied for. Had the test, which was bloody hard (2 maths and 1 verbal reasoning part).
