Thanks for the support, mate. I would love to be here and talk cricket as I feel 80% of this forum are some of the best folks to talk cricket (and even some other stuff) with in the online world. But there is about 20% of pretty ****** folks who seem to post like 80% of the time here. And its really stupid to hang around in a place that makes you feel bad or sorry or both so much of the time. I got a lot going on professionally as well, so it just felt like a good time to juz go away and get into other communities. I use the same name on reddit if you are there, we can always discuss cricket over there.

Thought it was a really creative thread, some of the names I don’t recognise.

Scarlett was just the colour that most resembled blood . There was a few possible names, Crimson, Raven and Adelaide just settled on Scarlett in the end.
And exactly right, never rush anything because problems will only surface further on down the line.

I did consider that as a fallback option. Probably wouldn't have the concentration skills for it though. When I was a kid I used to help my mum with accounts, really don't have the skill for it now tho.

Yeah I'm a programmer - or at least I am right now, this world is changing so ridiculously quickly. Have a contract till December, hopefully I'll be kept on - had a really positive interview, but I've not really interacted with the boss since and I've spent a lot of the first time just learning processes.

My first gig was in a sports non-profit, was an interesting experience; switching to the pirate sector you certainly see what a bit of professionalism can do. And it's a much bigger team than I've ever worked in before.
