  • Reported by three people, not all of whom are usually involved in your guys' childish spats, including a poster who knows people affected by the tragedy.

    I'm done explaining my actions.
Treat it as a win if you like. Could actually care less if you know. Point is, if you're gonna constantly tread the line then accept the infraction/warning when you do step over the line instead of throwing your toys out of the pram and crying 'woe is me'.
Nah, can that bull**** quite frankly. There is no reason for you to think the mods on the whole will take one's side over the other given both of your histories. But if you want to persist taking that line and call yourself a victim, have at it. I've explained my reasoning more than I would to most people. Take it as you will then.
Oh come on, I'm sure you know well enough if I infracted you every time someone reported something as offensive it'd leave a vacuum in OT.

You'd have one hell of a gripe if this was something of a trivial event. But it wasn't. People put us and themselves in a bit of a bind when they joke around about such events when they're so fresh, but it makes it much worse when someone inevitably, and rightfully, takes offense to it. At the end of the day I have to keep in mind that while I may or may not see something as necessarily offensive, in an open forum, others do. So I'm forced to walk a fine line while dealing with reports on a case to case basis as to which ones I completely ignore and which ones I do something about. This one fell on the action list.
I'm not about to invent an infraction called "benchmark00", so I gave you the first thing that came to mind. There's a couple of other ones of the stock infractions that could apply instead, but they could just as well not apply. This is why there is a section that allows me to explain the infraction.

And no, I have no interest in learning to **** English.
'Häagen-Dazs' is Danish for 'how are you' IIRC. Fax me some kind of bacon-wrapped confectionery post haste.
