Hmm. Interested to see if either plays 4 day cricket this year in preparation for Sammy becoming coach.

TBF to Jewel, he was dismissed in the first innings by one which pitched outside leg and then span to hit the top of off. Excellent intent in the second. I love watching him bat. Kevlon now has nearly 1000 FC runs at an average of 42. If he keeps that up by the end of the tournament, surely he...

Imlach's keeping was unreal. I haven't seen a West Indies keeper that good behind the stumps for a long time.

My thoughts precisely. It shows the importance of a test class bowling attack. Our bowlers deserve a lot of recognition, they have caused pretty much every team they have faced significant trouble. The only series I can think of where they were useless was Australia in 2023 and that was an...

He bowled too quickly and short. Similarly to Motie in the first test, but with the added issue that he doesn't turn it as much as him. Interestingly, he was much better today with the new ball, where his quicker pace helped him.

Excellent and potentially the innings that put us ahead in the match. But once every 10 innings still doesn't cut it, we need more.

More shameful batting, just look at the dismissals in this match. Pakistan are nearly as bad. Kraigg is giving them easy singles to long off though, I just don't get it. It's exactly what happened in the first test, where this partnership literally was the difference.

I bet he fails twice in the second test. He plays one good innings per series.

At least he'll set a clear ethos and playing style that certainly wont be grindball, even if it's not our version of Bazball. It is worth trying something, literally noone in that top 6 can complain if they're dropped.

Lol I remember how infuriating it was when Chase and Hope spent 2 years averaging under 20 and Dessie kept picking them. Even Holder has been mediocre since starting on the T20 merry-go-round. All this time later, I'd welcome them both back with open arms. F***k it, Shai can even come back in...

This test pretty much went exactly as we expected once we saw how it behaved on day one. There is no way our batters are going to survive for any length of time on that. Mind you, Pakistan were almost as bad, one first innings partnership won them the game. The only anomaly for me was Jayden...

I think I now need to accept that Warrican is ahead of Motie in red ball cricket. That's 3 tests in a row he's massively outbowled him. I prefer Motie as a technical spinner, but White ball cricket appears to have changed his pace and guile, whereas Warrican is relentlessly accurate but fast...

Was thinking current players, but you're absolutely right, he was excellent against spin for the most part.

Pooran in white ball cricket is generally excellent as well. Hety started off brilliantly against spin, not so sure now. Can't think of of anyone else to make a case for.

Yep I imagine this is his last series as captain at a minimum. Not sure Sammy is his biggest fan and his numbers are awful, just like the rest of our batting lineup.
