Must admit after the first few overs, I was thinking "oh **** here we go", but it's safe to say things have turned around dramatically since then.

Honestly more through bad cricket from Queensland than anything else. Only Lovell really was undone by a genuinely good ball

What a deck to roll out for a final. I suppose SA hasn't had much recent experience with them, but still and all. GAS and Redbacks will be chewing through their finger nails like no one's business here.

I've never seen vidler bowl with a speedgun, but he looks rapid. Faster than morris did whenever I saw him play in the shield before BBL clocked him around 140-145. Vidler is also still only 19. Australia need to be very proactive with him, could be cummins 2.0 with the ball.

jake lehmann about to top score in a shield final is surely the final blow that will allow us to end the nonsense that is the shield final

Fergus has about 10kph on him, which means like Fergus all of these wickets are meaningless unless he's taking them at 150kph plus

Marnus was quoted as saying Vidler touched 150 in the last Shield game. I heard the gun had him at 148.

However the guns are only relative to each game, there is no point comparing speeds in different games.

BBL spped guns add atleast 10% to the spped so its exciting for the viewers - nearly every quick is over 140 in BBL which is not reality. I even saw Liam Scott bowl a 140 plus ball for the Strikers...thats just not right.

Vidler would be in the top few quickest in the country already. In order I would say....Lance, Vidler, Meredith, Starc

Really good start here today from Lehmann and Manenti

Although to some extent I feel it needs to be, by all accounts the pitch was still a little damp underneath yesterday, especially early on. Wouldn't be stunned if it starts to play a bit more like a typical KRO deck now it has had some time to dry out somewhat, can definitely see batting being a lot easier by the time the QLD 2nd innings starts
