That’s right. I met Stephen when Ray got us freebies to watch Durham playing Leicestershire at at Darlington

was a red hot day and Leicestershire won the match
Leics used to destroy us in the early days - usually Mullally, Millns and Vince Wells.

I recall seeing them at the Racecourse in the County Championship in 1994 and Sheriyar took a hat trick in Durham's first innings and Wells did the same in the second.:(

Rhodes will be desperate for runs next week to put him in the frame for Notts .Clarky could be batting in the last chance saloon for the chance to face the red ball

Be surprised if Clark plays at all in the red ball unless injuries hit. There's a cumbrian poster on here hoping he'd turn out for them in minor county stuff.

Contract expires end of the season so wonder if we will look to be renew when he might only be a white ball player.

He's younger than I thought he was. I'm older than him by 4 months

Phil Simmons was fielding close to us that day. We went for lunch and came back about twenty mins late and Durham were 8 down

This kid McKinney could be our next player to go to England

don’t think he is in the frame for India or the Aussies away but next season could see him given an opportunity

one thing I read the other day was about Will Smeed of Somerset who had went all in for white ball riches but has now signed to a red ball contract this coming summer for them

the lad has talent so it will be interesting to see how he goes in the CC this summer

Cracking the flags today! What's the betting it won't be at any point that cricket is being played between next week and possibly June at the earliest?

:D

people out in shorts , t shirts etc and I’m watching people going into the sea for a swim

Cant believe it

car windies , auto correct. Windows Tino

Odd move unless Zummers are moving away from the Ciderabad tactics this season
They don't need him got Leach/Vaughan.

Which is mad to say that the guy who is likely playing 11 tests for England this year is surplus to requirements at CC.

But the type of bowler than Bashir is more suited to test cricket and the mindset England want to play their cricket.

Whether Bashir will be successful for England this year after a poor winter we shall see.

Big summer for him. That TB Test, bowling, albeit a poor WI side, out on the final day you thought OK there might be something here. But been poor since.

I'm hoping his dip was somewhat down to the inexperience of playing that much cricket in a year..

Like to have gone from barely any first team cricket, to 15 tests and a smattering of FC games.

Is an utterly ridiculous leap and even your experienced bowlers can struggle to keep up rhythm/fitness in that many tests.

Even though he's far younger I'm intrigued to see how Farhan Ahmed goes with a full season with Notts.

The kid has more FC wickets than his brother Rehan and Bashir had combined before their England debuts. Plus his victims being far better scalps with Sri Lankan test players and a Surrey 10fer.

If he goes as well as he has done so far, I'd be shocked if he's not in the touring party for the Ashes.

Very little to do with Durham. But this can be our home away from home/SMB to discuss whatever and the rest of the board might not bother us
