The distance between them in Tests and in ODIs is probably roughly the same.
Qadir the bowler is around equal to Dhoni the batter in test, And rate Dhoni pretty highly to spinners.

But the gap is clearly bigger in ODI's imo. Dhoni is an ATG batter, keeper and captain, while Qadir was just decent.

Qadir in ODIs was really good. Think should make top 10 spinners

Is Dhoni unanimously ahead of Qadir?
Qadir atleast has 3 five wicket hauls in WENA conditions.
I’ll be honest, 2 of them came against very poor batting lineups - which in both he couldn’t nab the wickets of the quality batsmen who were there. 2 of them he also conceded over 150 runs.

His record is so home biased its crazy. And his home record isn’t even that great.

I have no comment on comparing bowler to a keeper batsman, but 3 5-five wickets hauls should be seen with Qadir having away avg of 47-48 with SR of 97.

Here is his entire break up, I don't think it makes any difference how many 5-fers he got when his over all numbers are so horrible.

For ODIs, they shouldn't even be discussed in a poll. Dhoni is one of the greatest ever to play ODIs.

For tests, it is probably closer. Dhoni wasn't very good in tests, but neither was Abdul Qadir. Although AQ did manage to win a few tests with stellar performances. I can't remember any of Dhoni's match winning test performances off the top of my head (cbf looking it up). So for tests Abdul Qadir probably.

Without looking much, I think this one counts:

Good point. If he has at least 3 that should make it closer for tests IMO.

Abdul Qadir did have some match-winning spells at home against the WI. Possibly some abroad in England as well. Tbf to Dhoni he wasn't a complete mug with the bat in tests, but he was quite ordinary.
He has 2 MoTMs, both vs Australia:

Qadir definitely won Pakistan quite a few games, especially at home. But his away record is really a bit way too poor. 47.6 is a bit too much imho.
