Sutcliffe.

Sutcliffe is easily ahead of Chappell, far superior in Ashes, more proven on difficult wickets and against spin and averages 60+ while opening.

Do you rate Sutcliffe at top 7 or ahead of Hutton?? If no, then you aren't.
See

Coronis one day woke up, took photos of one hundred black and white Cricketers, made three categories of "love this guy", "meh" and "**** this guy". Then he took the hundred photos, shuffled them well and put one in each category/area and Sutcliffe and Hammond ended up in "love this guy" category, Hutton and Sachin ended up in the "meh" category so he's neutral to them, Viv and Compton ended up in the "**** this guy" category so he's a hater for them.

Me? I love all Cricketers, except Chanders, because Chanders sucks.

(this is a joke, don't cite me shitting on other Cricketers)

Chappell faced farrrrrrr better bowlers in far tougher conditions and an actual lbw rule that threatened batsmen.

Top 7? When did I ever do that?

News to me that Sachin and Viv played in the black and white era.

8 then, same thing
Part of the elite 8. But I will say again for me Sutcliffe, Hutton and Gavaskar are all pretty much even for me. More personal preference that has me rank them in that order than anything. (in order of most black and white, or lowest SR, take your pick)
