I honestly don't rate picking Smith, with how expensive he's been in internationals so far. Is he even going to bowl more than one spell? Unlikely.

Is that seriously like 15 consecutive losses of the toss for India in ODIs? Remarkable.
Don't have any confidence with Smith tbh will be surprised if he gets more than 4 overs. Also his batting in these conditions is a worry.

Yeah would have preferred Duffy, but in any case Henry’s loss means NZ will have to bat that much better.

King Kane

International Vice-Captain
Matt Henry out for Nathan Smith hurts our chances but at least we won the toss, I think we have a better chance batting first like we did against SA.

Hopefully Rachin can produce another big game knock, he's the key to our batting along with Kane against the Indian spinners and pace bowlers too.

We should reckon on 30 overs for our spinners (Santner and Bracewell 10 each then Phillips and Ravindra sharing the remaining 10). That leaves Jamieson, O’Rourke and Smith to bowl 20.

Btw we live in the alternate universe where anti-semitism is back like 80s nostalgia, hendrix is a born again monogamist and PEWS is a closeted industrial-capitalist and no one select AB de Villiers as wicketkeeper in the ATG SA sides.

This universe demands the bad guys win.

International Regular
NZ (and the CW universe) looking like they didn't learn from the mauling in the group stages and attacking the PP and running hard the singles. 30+ overs of dot balls incoming.
