Is it time for McCullum to step down from limited overs management?

Should McCullum retain full coaching roles of the Test and Limited Overs Team?

To all England supporters

Where do you stand on the future of our limited overs team and success.
Now is a critical juncture in our history as excuses of "we had a WC hangover" can now no longer be used. The old squad has largely been dismantled and new crops of players are slowly making appearances.

However, I feel that McCullum has really not progressed this limited overs team in any significant way since 2019. Granted it was a big ideological shoes to fill since Bayliss and Morgan stepped down. However, in areas such as middle-over accumulation, lack of quality bowlers and variety, fielding as well as over reliance on our old established batsmen, we have really regressed as a team.

I do personally believe he's a net positive for our test team, a team which was plagued with defensive ideologies for far too long. I am happy to see baz-ball in the test arena and genuinely believe we are in with a sniff at the coming Ashes.

Where do you guys stand on this debate?

Whatever it takes!!!
I mean, I think he is rather overrated but he literally just started this role. Gotta give the guy time to fail.

And honestly,, I think he will find a way to succeed, which, in England's case, means he will make them mid just like in tests, but will do it in an entertaining, engaging and often pull-your-hair-out frustrating way.

do you not think his involvement across 3 formats could potentially derail his Bazball success?
Yes, that does worry me a bit (I wasn't wild about him picking Atkinson, Carse and Wood for the CT squad for instance).

But, now he's been appointed we've gotta see how he does. If it doesn't work then it doesn't work but you've got to give the guy more than a month before you can make that call.

Are we judging England's inept failures in both India and the CT as knock-on effects of previous regimes, or down to the McCullum managerial role in this case? Because if we are adjudging McCullum to be responsible for these 2 first tests, then he has 2 very poor results on his record already.
