So is the CT simply a money making exercise or is it actually a trophy worth winning? It clearly makes more money the longer India stay in it. Should other teams just send their reserves next time (I'm wondering if the Aussies have already cottoned on)?
Aussies are more concerned about WTC final. So they are resting their bowlers because they will play in IPL . Whereas remaining teams are taking it seriously we are already out of WTC .

Pakistan are not currently invading another sovereign state. I hate getting involved because frankly it's boring trying to shoot down all the whataboutery.

Fifa (yes even FIFA) would never hold a tournament in Russia in its current state.
So spit out your reason for why India should not Boycott playing in Pakistan. Condescending, moralising broad-brush comments don't cut it.

Not a good example for you really. When England decided they couldn't play in Zimbabwe, they didn't, which effectively knocked them out of the 2003 World Cup, a tournament they'd have had a chance of making the Final in. When India decide they cannot play in Pakistan, the ICC bends over backwards to include them.
So the problem is not that India refuses to play in Pakistan (posters who come out with moralising dick waving on this are basically racists without realising it). The issue is that BCCI/ICC decided to make a mockery of this tournament with crazy ass scheduling. Should have simply proceeded without India.

Because everyone else is playing there with no security issues. And you're not at war. Security would be in place, the ICC would ensure of that. Lahore is literally 26km from the border so just play the game then get out if you wish. The players and fans don't seem to mind each other so it's hardly the same as other flashpoints around the world currently. It's just "dick waving" as you so eloquently put it, by politicians.

Look I don't want to fall out with anyone over this, but just accept that there are differences in opinion. I'm not even bothered about any "advantage" if there is one for India. I just think it's unfair that normal Pakistani people have been robbed of a full tournament.

Oh and if you're going to bring up terrorism, England never boycotted Ireland when the IRA was a thing.

This is also true, but I also think a tournament without India, as the best in the world, would be pointless.

Whatever it takes!!!

Are you willfully being obtuse? The tournament rights would have most likely been renegotiated if India did not participate. You do realize there are differences between the team that draws the most eyeballs participating and losing in a tournament Vs not participating at all? I actually think there may have been clauses in those contracts about events involving India, coz like it or not, it is what is sponsoring cricket basically.
